NICOSIA, Cyprus, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Board of Directors (BOD) of Xryma Plc (Company), a regulated banktech group providing cross-border open banking, international transactional banking and real-time EU and UK payment services, trading as ISX Financial®, announces that Mr. Christakis Taoushanis and Mr. Adonis Pegasiou have resigned as Independent Non-Executive Directors of the Company, with effect from 30th September, 2026. 

Mr. Taoushanis  

Mr. Christakis (Takis) Taoushanis has served on the BOD of the Company for nearly 10 years, and has chaired the Company since it first achieved regulatory authorisation as an Electronic Money Institution from the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC). Mr. Taoushanis has chaired the Company through a demerger process, seven years of continuous profits, preparation for admission to listing on Euronext Paris, adding the major milestones of the Company’s direct T2 RTGS participation going live on European Central Bank infrastructure, and preparation for direct connection to the Bank of England. 

The CBC’s governance policies do not consider any director that has served for more than 10 years on a CBC-regulated company’s board as being independent. Those policies also require that there are more independent non-executive directors on the BOD than executive directors. 

Mr. Taoushanis has advised the BOD that his resignation follows the CBC’s policies, as he can no longer be considered an independent director and that, as a consequence, his tenure as Chairman of the BOD could not continue.

Mr. Pegasiou holds a full-time professional role as Academic Director of the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF), a role requiring more of his time and attention. At the same time, the Company’s business activities and projects are becoming more complex, requiring greater involvement from Board members, including additional time to become familiar with key areas in order to be in position to ensure effective oversight and contribution. 

Mr. Pegasiou has informed the BOD that he does not currently have sufficient time to allocate to these matters. In these circumstances, he considers it appropriate to step down, as he would not wish his other professional commitments to compromise his ability to fulfil his responsibilities as a Board member, and up to the standard required under CBC requirements.

Lunedì 5 ottobre saranno eseguiti lavori per il rifacimento di un allaccio idrico in via del Girone di Mezzo, all’altezza del civico 70. Per consentire l’intervento, nel tratto interessato saranno vietati transito e sosta; garantita la circolazione a residenti e mezzi di soccorso ed emergenza. Per i pedoni sarà predisposto un passaggio protetto.

Un intervento più articolato interesserà via Don Bosco, nel tratto compreso tra il civico 10 e via Piero della Francesca, dove è prevista la sostituzione della rete idrica. I lavori si svolgeranno da lunedì 5 a venerdì 30 ottobre, con un cantiere che avanzerà progressivamente lungo la strada. Per tutta la durata dell’intervento saranno istituiti il divieto di transito e il divieto di sosta con rimozione forzata nel tratto interessato. La circolazione sarà organizzata in modo da garantire l’accesso ai residenti e ai mezzi di soccorso e di emergenza. Nei tratti non interessati dai lavori sarà temporaneamente istituito il doppio senso di circolazione tra via Piero della Francesca e via San Biagio in Cascheri, così da consentire l’accesso alle abitazioni sia a monte sia a valle del cantiere.

In via Bassa della Vergine, all’altezza dei civici 119-121, sono previsti martedì 6 e mercoledì 7 ottobre lavori di riparazione della rete idrica. Saranno quindi vietati transito e sosta, mentre residenti e mezzi di soccorso ed emergenza potranno accedere alle parti della strada non interessate dal cantiere.

Le modifiche saranno indicate sul posto dalla segnaletica di preavviso.

Assisi, 2 ott. – Un itinerario di due giorni alla scoperta di un volto meno conosciuto di Assisi, tra la spiritualità francescana, le testimonianze legate ai Templari e i sapori della tradizione umbra. È la proposta “Francesco e i Templari”, ideata dal Fontebella Palace Hotel per raccontare la città attraverso un percorso che unisce storia, ospitalità e gastronomia. 

Accanto ai luoghi universalmente legati a San Francesco, Assisi conserva infatti tracce di una storia medievale più articolata, nella quale trovano spazio anche le vicende dell’Ordine del Tempio e il passaggio degli ordini cavallereschi. Da qui nasce un’esperienza pensata per accompagnare gli ospiti alla scoperta di simboli, documenti e testimonianze storiche, senza rinunciare alla dimensione del soggiorno e alla conoscenza della cucina del territorio. 

Punto di partenza del percorso è il Fontebella Palace Hotel, ospitato in un’antica residenza nobiliare sottoposta a tutela. L’edificio conserva ambienti e testimonianze architettoniche appartenenti a epoche differenti, dal Medioevo al Rinascimento fino al Settecento, con volte, murature e spazi originari che caratterizzano le diverse camere. 

Il programma si sviluppa nell’arco di due giornate e comprende la visita alla Mostra dei Templari, dedicata alla storia dell’Ordine cavalleresco, ai suoi simboli e alle vicende che ne hanno segnato la presenza sul territorio. Agli ospiti viene inoltre consegnata una pubblicazione storiografica dedicata al tema. 

La componente storica prosegue a tavola con una cena degustazione di tre portate al ristorante Il Frantoio. Il menu è concepito come un percorso ispirato agli ingredienti utilizzati nel Medioevo e alla memoria gastronomica umbra, reinterpretati in chiave contemporanea. La seconda giornata prevede invece un pranzo più informale al bistrot, dedicato ai prodotti e ai sapori del territorio. 

A caratterizzare il soggiorno sono anche alcuni elementi legati alla storia della dimora. Al posto delle moderne tessere elettroniche, gli ospiti ricevono una chiave tradizionale, custodita nella bacheca in legno di noce della reception, richiamo all’ospitalità degli alberghi di un tempo. 

Dalle vetrate dell’edificio la vista si apre sulla pianura umbra e sulla basilica di San Pietro, mentre gli ambienti interni conservano elementi architettonici stratificati nei secoli. 

L’esperienza “Francesco e i Templari” punta così a proporre una lettura diversa di Assisi, affiancando ai grandi luoghi francescani un percorso nella storia medievale della città e dell’Umbria. Un racconto che passa dalle testimonianze dell’Ordine del Tempio alla cultura dell’accoglienza e alla tradizione gastronomica locale.

Il programma si apre alle 10, nella Sezione Ragazzi, con “Il dono: variazioni sul tema. Storia di una gabbianella e del gatto che le insegnò a volare”, una lettura espressiva pensata per i più piccoli. L’attore Mario Pietramala proporrà alcune letture tratte dalla Storia della gabbianella e del gatto che le insegnò a volare.

Il momento centrale sarà il DonoDay – “La lettura ti dona!”, dalle 11 alle 13 nell’Auditorium Terzani. L’iniziativa è dedicata alle persone e alle associazioni che, nel corso dell’ultimo anno, hanno scelto di donare libri alla Biblioteca San Giorgio e all’Associazione Amici della San Giorgio. Nel corso della mattinata saranno raccontate le diverse modalità attraverso cui i libri donati continuano a circolare e saranno consegnati attestati e riconoscimenti sia ai referenti dei punti di distribuzione del progetto “Di libro in libro” sia alle persone che, tra settembre 2025 e agosto 2026, hanno effettuato donazioni alla biblioteca e all’associazione. L’incontro sarà accompagnato da intermezzi di letture espressive a cura di Mario Pietramala, ideatore delle “Incursioni nei classici”.

La proposta per le fasce più giovani è inserita anche nel programma di Bibliopride 2026 della San Giorgio Ragazzi.

Una giornata, dunque, che attraversa età e linguaggi diversi e che utilizza il libro per raccontare il significato del dono: donare una storia significa anche permetterle di continuare a circolare, incontrare nuove persone e trovare nuovi lettori. Gli appuntamenti di domani fanno parte del calendario di Pistoia Capitale Italiana del Libro 2026.

SIS ROMA, SI RIPARTE: SABATO 3 OTTOBRE AL VIA LA STAGIONE 2026/27
 

Roma, 2 ottobre 2026 – L’attesa è finita. Sabato 3 ottobre prende ufficialmente il via la stagione 2026/27 della SIS Roma, che debutterà nel Campionato di Serie A1 femminile nella trasferta contro l’AGN Energia Bogliasco 1951. 

Alle 15.30 la formazione giallorossa tornerà in acqua per il primo appuntamento ufficiale di un’annata che vedrà la SIS Roma impegnata su tre fronti: Serie A1, Coppa Italia e Champions League. 

Dopo le intense settimane di preparazione, è dunque arrivato il momento delle partite. La SIS Roma si presenta ai nastri di partenza con un gruppo rinnovato, nuove energie e l’obiettivo di proseguire il percorso di crescita costruito negli ultimi anni, continuando a competere ai massimi livelli in Italia e in Europa. 

Una stagione lunga e impegnativa, da affrontare partita dopo partita, nella quale il lavoro quotidiano, la crescita del gruppo e la continuità di rendimento saranno elementi fondamentali per cercare di essere protagonisti nei diversi appuntamenti. 

Il calendario entrerà subito nel vivo. Nel solo mese di ottobre la SIS Roma disputerà sei incontri: cinque giornate di Serie A1 e, sabato 31 ottobre, il primo appuntamento stagionale in Champions League.

A presentare l’esordio di Bogliasco è il tecnico della SIS Roma, Marco Capanna: «Iniziamo il Campionato contro un avversario vivo e ostico. Vogliamo avere attenzione e cominciare bene questa nuova stagione». 

La trasferta ligure aprirà quindi un mese particolarmente intenso, nel quale la SIS Roma sarà chiamata fin dalle prime settimane a trovare ritmo, continuità e identità di squadra, tra campionato e impegni europei.

Sono sei i punti all’ordine del giorno. Seguono tre interpellanze.

La prima, presentata da Avanti Pistoia, è sulla mancata raccolta giornaliera dei rifiuti nelle strade collaterali alla viabilità principale.

La seconda interpellanza urgente è di Civici e Riformisti sulla manutenzione carente delle paline e delle pensiline del trasporto pubblico locale.

La terza interpellanza, che chiude il Consiglio comunale, è presentata dai consiglieri Jacopo Venturi e Lorenzo Galligani di Fratelli d’Italia e riguarda la situazione di degrado in via Attilio Frosini.

Alla cerimonia parteciperanno la vicesindaca Stefania Nesi, il prefetto Angelo Gallo Carrabba, le autorità territoriali e i membri del Cudir. L’iniziativa è organizzata dal Cudir – Comitato Unitario per la difesa delle Istituzioni Repubblicane del Comune di Pistoia (Cudir) e il Comitato 10 febbraio.

Ad agosto, i veicoli completamente elettrici hanno rappresentato il 30,5% delle vendite di auto nuove in 16 mercati europei chiave, con 202.833 immatricolazioni, in aumento del 54,2% rispetto all’anno precedente. All’inizio dell’anno, Transport & Environment aveva previsto una quota del 23% di veicoli elettrici a batteria (BEV) per l’UE e Rho Motion intorno al 21% per l’Europa. Quasi un’auto nuova su tre è ora completamente elettrica e la mobilità elettrica in Europa non è più una nicchia, ma è diventata la norma. 

La crescita è trainata dai maggiori mercati europei. La Francia ha raggiunto una quota del 38,3% di veicoli elettrici a batteria (BEV) ad agosto, e la Germania del 32,5%. Il trasporto pubblico sta crescendo ancora più rapidamente: sei autobus urbani su dieci immatricolati nell’UE nel 2025 erano a emissioni zero, e le normative UE prevedono che il 90% degli autobus urbani immatricolati sia a emissioni zero entro il 2030 e il 100% entro il 2035. 

Con la diffusione su larga scala del mercato, cambiano anche le aspettative degli acquirenti. Come ha affermato Chris Heron, segretario generale di E-Mobility Europe: “La priorità ora è la certezza, accompagnata dalla consegna”. Prosegue nel mese di ottobre il ciclo “Esodo dalle passioni tristi”, promosso dall’associazione Le Parole di Hurbinek e da CircoLoSpazio odv, con una serie di incontri dedicati alla riflessione sul presente attraverso la filosofia, la storia, la letteratura e l’attualità.

Il programma prende il via sabato 17 ottobre alle 17.45, alle Stanze, con Ilaria Gaspari e l’incontro Dalla costellazione delle passioni tristi all’etica della gioia: un’incursione spinoziana, dedicato al pensiero di Baruch Spinoza come possibile antidoto all’oscurantismo del presente.

Lunedì 19 ottobre, alle 17.00 alla Sala Soci COOP, sarà la volta di Gianni Cuperlo, con la presentazione del volume La frontiera ferita. Guerre, fascismo, foibe, esodo.

Il ciclo proseguirà venerdì 23 ottobre alle 17.45 alla Libreria Lo Spazio con Che cos’è la salute mentale? Genealogie e prospettive critiche, volume a cura di Mario Colucci, che sarà presente all’incontro.

A chiudere gli appuntamenti di ottobre sarà venerdì 30 ottobre alle 17.45, ancora alla Libreria Lo Spazio, Una stanza nel mondo. Borges, Ireneo Funes e la vertigine della natura, presentazione del libro di Danilo Selvaggi.

Un percorso articolato che, attraverso linguaggi e prospettive differenti, invita a interrogarsi sulle inquietudini del presente e sulle possibilità offerte dalla cultura e dalla lettura per comprenderle.

“Zone d’ombra”: la cronaca tra indagine, memoria e rispetto delle vittime

Dal 22 al 25 ottobre torna a Pistoia, per il secondo anno consecutivo, “Zona d’ombra – Storie, trame e narrazioni”, il festival diretto dallo scrittore e criminologo Antonio Fusco e dedicato alla cronaca, alle indagini, ai processi, ai cold case e al giornalismo investigativo.

Il festival nasce con l’obiettivo di approfondire i grandi casi della cronaca nera italiana attraverso le carte, le testimonianze e il lavoro di professionisti ed esperti, mantenendo al centro il rispetto delle persone coinvolte e delle vittime. L’edizione 2026 sarà dedicata in particolare ai reati contro i soggetti più deboli, con attenzione a donne e bambini, ma anche alle piccole vittime delle guerre, alle baby gang, alle persone scomparse e al femminicidio.

Il programma coinvolgerà diversi luoghi della città, dalla Biblioteca San Giorgio alle Sale Affrescate di Palazzo Comunale, dal Piccolo Teatro Mauro Bolognini a Palazzo de’ Rossi, fino al Palazzo Comunale, con un totale di trenta ospiti distribuiti in quindici momenti.

Tra i temi affrontati figurano casi che hanno segnato profondamente la cronaca italiana, dal delitto di Willy Monteiro Duarte all’Asilo Cip e Ciop, dalla Banda della Uno Bianca all’omicidio di Marta Russo, fino alla scomparsa di Emanuela Orlandi. Ad arricchire il programma sarà inoltre la mostra fotografica di Stefania Prandi, alle Sale Affrescate dal 25 ottobre all’8 novembre, dedicata alle storie e alle parole di chi è sopravvissuto al femminicidio. Il programma prevede anche la consegna del Premio Grandonio e del Premio Purgatori, dedicati rispettivamente al coraggio civico e alle forme innovative di comunicazione e ricerca della verità.

Il giorno del dono: “La lettura ti dona”

Il 3 ottobre, alla Biblioteca San Giorgio, Pistoia celebra il Giorno del Dono con una giornata dedicata al valore della condivisione dei libri e alla partecipazione dei cittadini alla vita della biblioteca.

Il momento centrale sarà il DONODAY: la lettura ti dona!, in programma dalle 11 alle 13 nell’Auditorium Terzani, con la cerimonia di premiazione dei cittadini che, tra ottobre 2025 e settembre 2026, hanno donato almeno un libro alla Biblioteca San Giorgio e all’Associazione Amici della San Giorgio odv, contribuendo ad alimentare il circuito virtuoso del progetto “Di Libro in Libro”.

La cerimonia sarà accompagnata da momenti di lettura espressiva a cura di Mario Pietramala, ideatore delle Incursioni nei Classici, e sarà inoltre l’occasione per presentare la nuova edizione della mostra “Tracce nei libri”, a cura di Caterina Brancatisano.

La giornata si inserisce in una più ampia idea di dono come patrimonio condiviso: i libri donati dai cittadini possono infatti tornare alla comunità attraverso le attività della Biblioteca, le iniziative dell’Associazione Amici della San Giorgio, i punti prestito diffusi sul territorio e le casette dei libri. Un movimento di partecipazione che, nel corso dell’anno, contribuisce a rendere la lettura sempre più accessibile e capillare.

Accanto alla cerimonia, il programma del 3 ottobre prevede anche diversi appuntamenti dedicati al tema del dono e della lettura: alle 10, nella Zona Holden, Il dono: variazioni sul tema. Storia di una gabbianella e del gatto che le insegnò a volare, per bambini dai 5 ai 10 anni; alle 16, ancora nella Zona Holden, Il dono: variazioni sul tema. FIRENZE – Trattori in strada, presidi davanti agli impianti e automobilisti in coda alle stazioni di servizio che riescono a praticare i prezzi più bassi. L’aumento di benzina e gasolio sta producendo effetti sempre più visibili in diverse parti d’Italia e la mobilitazione arriva anche in Toscana.

Uno dei fronti più caldi è quello degli agricoltori. Sull’Aurelia, al chilometro 22, nella zona di Torrimpietra, i trattori sono tornati sulla strada durante la protesta contro l’aumento dei costi sostenuti dal settore.

Il presidio ha avuto ripercussioni sulla circolazione. Durante la manifestazione sono stati versati in strada latte annacquato e accesi fumogeni, mentre le forze dell’ordine hanno seguito l’iniziativa.

Una protesta che parte dalle campagne ma riguarda direttamente anche trasporti, imprese e famiglie.

La mobilitazione arriva in Toscana

Anche la Toscana entra nella mappa delle iniziative. A Stagno, alle porte di Livorno, Usb ha organizzato un presidio davanti all’area di deposito e carico carburanti vicino alla raffineria, lungo l’Aurelia. Una manifestazione convocata contro l’aumento dei prezzi alla pompa e le conseguenze del carovita sui redditi.

La questione riguarda da vicino anche il tessuto economico regionale. Agricoltura, pesca, autotrasporto e numerose attività produttive utilizzano quotidianamente mezzi e macchinari e sono quindi particolarmente esposte alle oscillazioni dei prezzi.

Il rischio è un effetto a catena: aumentano i costi degli spostamenti e della logistica e una parte degli incrementi può trasferirsi lungo la filiera fino al consumatore.

File dove il self service costa meno

Intanto alle proteste si affianca un’altra fotografia di queste giornate: le code davanti ai distributori che riescono ad applicare sconti sul self service.

Quando sul tabellone compare un prezzo sensibilmente inferiore rispetto agli impianti della zona, gli automobilisti arrivano numerosi per fare rifornimento. Le attese si allungano e davanti alle pompe possono formarsi file di auto.

Non è una forma di protesta, ma il segnale di quanto anche pochi centesimi al litro siano diventati importanti nella scelta di dove rifornirsi.
Per chi percorre molti chilometri ogni giorno, la differenza sul singolo pieno moltiplicata nell’arco del mese può diventare significativa.
Il quadro che emerge è così duplice: da una parte trattori, presidi e mobilitazioni; dall’altra la ricerca quotidiana del prezzo più conveniente.

E mentre le proteste si spostano da una regione all’altra, anche in Toscana cresce l’attenzione su ciò che accade alle pompe e sulle conseguenze che benzina e gasolio più costosi possono avere sull’intera economia.

Olesen and funds managed by Signet Healthcare Partners. Chief Executive Thomas Moestrup is investing alongside Samfara. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 

Based near Copenhagen, Chr. Olesen Synthesis develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and advanced intermediates, specialising in controlled substances, in particular those used to treat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine) and ADHD (lisdexamfetamine). Its cGMP-certified plant has been in commercial production since 2015 and supplies pharmaceutical companies across Europe, North America and the Middle East. The business combines technical expertise and a high level of flexibility in serving pharmaceutical customers across its markets. 

With Samfara’s backing, Chr. Olesen Synthesis will continue to develop its capabilities, build on its existing customers and products and expand into new markets. MILAN, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — From September 28 to October 2, 2026, the Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) is being held in Milan, Italy. Hansoh Pharma’s self-developed dual-biased glucagon-like peptide-1/glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GLP-1/GIP) receptor agonist, Olatorepatide (HS-20094), was presented as a Late-breaking Abstract (LBA) oral presentation, reporting the results from the Chinese Phase Ⅲ weight management study (LIGHTEN). 

The findings show that Olatorepatide exhibits substantial weight‑loss efficacy and favorable gastrointestinal tolerability: Weight-loss Efficacy: Mean weight loss of 19.3% was achieved at Week 48 in the olatorepatide 15 mg group, with no weight-loss plateau observed; Waist-circumference Reduction: Mean waist-circumference reduction of 16.0 cm was observed in the olatorepatide 15 mg group; Low Incidence of Gastrointestinal Adverse Events: Nausea 7.8%; vomiting 4.9%. LIGHTEN is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase III study conducted in Chinese adults with overweight or obesity, enrolling a total of 604 participants. Eligible participants had a BMI (Body Mass Index) ≥28kg/m², or a BMI of 24–28kg/m² accompanied by at least one weight-related comorbidity. Participants were randomized 1:1:1:1 to receive once-weekly subcutaneous injections of Olatorepatide 5mg, 10mg, 15mg, or placebo for 48 weeks. The co-primary endpoints were the percentage change in body weight from baseline at 48 weeks and the proportion of participants achieving ≥ 5% weight loss. Overall, 90.1% of participants completed the full 48-week treatment period. 

Study results showed that under the efficacy estimand, mean body weight reductions at week 48 were −12.5%, −17.5% and −19.3% in the Olatorepatide 5 mg, 10 mg and 15 mg groups, respectively, versus −2.7% in the placebo group. Under the treatment-regimen estimand, mean body weight reductions were −11.8%, −17.0% and −18.7% across the three Olatorepatide dose groups, respectively, versus -2.5% in the placebo group. All between-group differences were statistically significant (P < 0.0001). 

In terms of weight loss goal achievement rates, under the efficacy estimand, the proportions for the Olatorepatide 5mg, 10mg, 15mg and placebo groups were as follows:≥5% weight loss: 87.3%, 97.2%, 95.2% and 28.6%;≥10% weight loss: 61.7%, 89.3%, 88.9% and 14.6%;≥15% weight loss: 32.6%, 60.2%, 71.7% and 3.2%. 

Notably, the weight loss curve showed a continued downward trend at Week 48, without reaching a plateau, suggesting that a longer treatment duration may yield further weight-loss benefits. 

Under the efficacy estimand, mean reductions in waist circumference from baseline were 10.5cm, 14.4cm, and 16.0cm in the Olatorepatide 5mg, 10mg and 15mg groups, respectively, versus 3.6cm in the placebo group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.0001). 

In addition, Olatorepatide brought improvements in metabolic parameters including blood pressure, lipid profiles, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA‑IR), urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) and uric acid, demonstrating comprehensive metabolic benefits. 

The overall safety profile of Olatorepatide was similar to that of incretin-based therapies approved for weight management. Its incidence of gastrointestinal adverse events was notably lower than published data for currently available agents of the same class. The mean incidence of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation in the Olatorepatide treatment groups was 7.8%, 4.9%, 16.9%, and 5.1%, respectively, versus 2.6%, 2.0%, 7.8%, and 1.3% in the placebo group. No participants discontinued treatment or withdrew early due to Olatorepatide treatment-related adverse events. 

A dual-biased GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist, Olatorepatide offers a novel signaling pathway approach to overcoming the challenge of achieving both weight loss efficacy and tolerability. This Phase III weight-management study conducted in Chinese adults with overweight or obesity demonstrated significant weight loss efficacy along with favorable safety and tolerability, supporting its potential as a novel weight management therapy.
