New GSMA report highlights how AI, digital services and mobile connectivity are driving economic growth across Africa, while affordability remains a key barrier to digital inclusion 

LONDON, June 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mobile technologies and services contributed $240 billion to Africa’s economy in 2025, equivalent to 7.8% of GDP, according to the GSMA’s Mobile Economy Africa 2026 report. The sector also supported approximately 13 million jobs and generated $45 billion in public revenues, underlining the growing role of mobile connectivity in powering economic growth, innovation and digital transformation across the continent. 

The report finds that Africa’s mobile industry is entering a new phase of development. BERLIN, June 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — NUVIEW GmbH today announced that its Moonraker mission has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) for a Phase A study under ESA’s Small Missions for Exploration – Destination the Moon program. NUVIEW serves as prime contractor and leads an international consortium advancing space-based LiDAR for lunar terrain mapping. 

Moonraker will deploy a LiDAR-equipped spacecraft into lunar orbit to generate high-resolution, three-dimensional elevation data of the Moon’s polar regions and other priority areas. The resulting terrain models will support landing site identification, hazard assessment, and surface planning for future robotic and human missions. 

“Moonraker is a direct extension of our commercial LiDAR architecture into lunar orbit,” said Katie Graumann, CEO of NUVIEW Germany. “By adapting the systems we are deploying for Earth observation, we can provide reliable, mission-critical terrain data that helps reduce risk for future lunar landings and surface operations.” 

The mission will focus on the lunar South Pole and other select areas of interest, including permanently shadowed regions, where accurate terrain data is critical for evaluating potential landing sites and supporting future exploration and resource utilization activities. LiDAR data collected by Moonraker will be downlinked directly to Earth and processed into three-dimensional Digital Elevation Models to support mission planning and analysis.

Monza, 16 giugno 2026 – Elesa, azienda leader nella progettazione e produzione di componenti standard per macchine e attrezzature industriali, ha rinnovato anche nel 2026 il proprio impegno al fianco di LILT (Lega Italiana per la Lotta ai Tumori) partecipando alla 46ª edizione della Marcia Formula Uno, svoltasi domenica 14 giugno presso l’Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.  

L’evento, una corsa-camminata non competitiva aperta a runner, sportivi amatoriali, famiglie e appassionati, ha rappresentato un importante momento di incontro tra sport e solidarietà, con l’obiettivo di sostenere Casa LILT Monza e le attività di prevenzione oncologica sul territorio. Un appuntamento che ogni anno richiama migliaia di partecipanti e sottolinea il valore della prevenzione attraverso uno stile di vita attivo e consapevole.

ROMA – Il ministero dell’agricoltura, della sovranità alimentare e delle foreste ha conferito al Consorzio Vino Toscana lo status di organismo di tutela ufficiale per l’Indicazione Geografica Tipica regionale. Il riconoscimento, formalizzato attraverso un decreto ministeriale di prossima pubblicazione in Gazzetta ufficiale, certifica il raggiungimento dei requisiti di rappresentatività imposti dalla legge. La normativa richiede infatti il coinvolgimento di almeno il 40% dei produttori e il controllo del 66 per cento della produzione complessiva.

Questo passaggio formale introduce il principio giuridico dell’erga omnes, in base al quale l’attività del Consorzio si estende a tutti gli operatori della filiera (viticoltori, vinificatori e imbottigliatori), inclusi i non associati. La nuova configurazione istituzionale si traduce in un potere di gestione diretta, vigilanza e promozione della denominazione, applicabile all’intero bacino produttivo. Parallelamente, il provvedimento consente all’ente di attingere al sostegno economico di tutte le aziende dell’area, ampliando le risorse finanziarie destinate ai progetti di comunicazione, salvaguardia e valorizzazione del marchio.

L’organismo diventa così l’interlocutore unico nei rapporti con le istituzioni regionali, italiane ed europee per un comparto che conta oltre 4mila aziende vitivinicole e un volume commerciale superiore ai 90 milioni di bottiglie l’anno. L’attribuzione delle nuove competenze segue una recente modifica al disciplinare di produzione, deliberata a marzo, che ha stabilito l’adozione esclusiva del nome Toscana in etichetta e l’introduzione della tipologia spumante. Dalla sua costituzione, avvenuta meno di tre anni fa, il Consorzio ha inoltre avviato la registrazione del marchio in diversi mercati esteri, tra cui gli Stati Uniti, per contrastare l’uso improprio del nome della denominazione.
