SUZHOU, China, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A robotic hand developed by Chinese firm AGILINK has been taught foundational Suzhou embroidery techniques by master craftswoman Fu Xianghong, including separating silk threads, threading a needle, stretching fabric on an embroidery hoop and stitching. 

The demonstration puts a robotic hand to work with one of the most delicate and deformable materials it can encounter: silk. A silk thread can bend, slip and change shape with slight changes in contact. Splitting silk requires one finger to separate individual strands while others maintain support and tension; twisting thread requires opposing fingertips to maintain contact while allowing the thread to turn. Threading a needle and stitching add further demands on positioning, force and coordination. 

The OmniHand 3 Ultra combines 21 active degrees of freedom with a fully direct-drive architecture and tactile sensing across the fingertips, finger pads and palm. Vision-based tactile sensors at each fingertip detect changes in the contact surface, providing feedback as the hand handles thin, deformable materials.

At its exhibition booth, the airline presented its applications of AI in civil aviation through physical prototypes, equipment models, multimedia displays, interactive demonstrations, and livestreaming. 

An AI-powered flexible robotic arm system for meal arrangement was a major highlight in the smart in-flight catering section. Its adaptive end effectors can flexibly grasp and precisely place food items of different types and forms, enabling the automated arrangement of in-flight meals. 

A service robot, a baggage-handling robot, and a four-legged robot for transfer guidance, developed by the airline and equipped with large-model capabilities, were displayed in the smart passenger services section. 

The airline also demonstrated its self-developed AI-powered network management platform, which lets visitors view the real-time locations of CEAir wide-body aircraft worldwide and the satellites they use for in-flight internet connectivity. 

Air-ground connectivity is a key area of CEAir’s digital and intelligent development drive. BRUXELLES, 30 settembre 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In un contesto caratterizzato da tensioni geopolitiche e condizioni meteorologiche estreme, il sistema elettrico europeo ha dimostrato di poter proteggere consumatori e industria dalla volatilità dei combustibili fossili, come evidenziato dal Power Barometer 2026 di Eurelectric. I prezzi dell’elettricità nell’UE sono aumentati del 22,8% tra febbraio e agosto 2026, mentre i prezzi del gas sono cresciuti dell’88,4%. Il rapporto mostra come la produzione di energia pulita abbia attenuato l’impatto di tale aumento, evidenziando al contempo la necessità di rafforzare stoccaggio, reti e flessibilità per aumentare la resilienza dell’Europa. 

In seguito al blocco dello Stretto di Hormuz, i prezzi del gas sono aumentati del 41% tra febbraio e maggio, mentre i prezzi dell’elettricità nell’UE sono diminuiti del 7%. Un’estate da record per il caldo ha successivamente alzato i prezzi dell’energia elettrica. Questo mentre il gas raggiungeva nuovi massimi, la produzione idroelettrica nei paesi nordici diminuiva e la disponibilità nucleare calava a causa delle elevate temperature dei fiumi, dei bassi livelli dell’acqua e di lavori di manutenzione programmati. Tuttavia, nel complesso, l’elettricità si è dimostrata significativamente più resistente allo shock dei combustibili fossili.

Il rapporto rileva che il 72% della produzione elettrica dell’UE nel 2026 proveniva da fonti pulite, limitando l’impatto dei combustibili fossili sui prezzi dell’energia. Tuttavia, per sfruttare appieno i vantaggi dell’elettricità prodotta localmente, è necessario accelerare la diffusione delle soluzioni di stoccaggio e flessibilità. 

La Bulgaria illustra l’impatto dello stoccaggio: dopo aver sviluppato 5,4 GW di capacità di batterie, i prezzi all’ingrosso dell’elettricità sono passati dal 21% sopra la media UE nel 2024 ad appena l’8,3% sopra la media nel 2026, grazie a una minore dipendenza dai costosi combustibili fossili durante i periodi domanda elevata. Tuttavia, l’Europa è indietro: nel 2025 la capacità di stoccaggio su scala utility ammontava a 64 GW. Anche considerando 78 GW di nuove capacità pianificate, il totale rimane ben al di sotto dell’obiettivo UE di 200 GW entro il 2030. 

Per rafforzare la sicurezza energetica e la competitività dell’Europa, Eurelectric chiede un’accelerazione delle procedure autorizzative per reti, stoccaggio ed energia pulita, incentivi più forti per la flessibilità e un quadro di investimenti stabile che preservi segnali di mercato efficienti a sostegno dell’elettrificazione.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In July 2026, a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta and five major oil sands producers established a framework linking expanded production capacity to historic investment in carbon capture technology and new export infrastructure.  

Canadian Natural Resources, Suncor Energy, Cenovus Energy, Imperial Oil and ConocoPhillips Canada have committed to developing the Pathways Carbon Capture and Storage project, a shared infrastructure initiative targeting approximately 6 million tonnes of CO₂ capture annually by 2035, rising to 16 million tonnes per year by 2045. 

Industry observers note that the July MOU represents conditional commitments rather than executed projects. Definitive binding agreements are targeted for 15 November 2026 and will determine whether the fiscal terms make expansion economically viable for producers. 

Alberta currently produces approximately four million barrels per day, and the provincial government has publicly stated its aspiration to double that figure within a decade. Growth remains contingent on favourable economics, particularly the allocation of CCS costs, carbon pricing treatment and available subsidies. Final investment decisions on Pathways are not expected until late 2027 or early 2028, once fiscal arrangements are clarified.

Mr Shavit is an experienced senior executive and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Cycling Academy Ltd. He joined the organization in 2017 and became CEO in 2020, following a decade as the owner and managing director of an Israeli tourism and event production company.  

At the same time, Jean-Pierre Verlaine will step down from the Board and, consequently, from his position as a member of the Audit Committee, with effect from 30 September 2026. Mr Verlaine is also the beneficial owner and head of the Engelwood Group, a regulated investment manager in Luxembourg, which manages securitisation and other segregated vehicles, certain of which maintain business relationships with the Group. As the Group has continued to develop its governance framework, including its policies relating to related party transactions and potential conflicts of interest, Mr Verlaine and the Group have considered the most appropriate structure for their respective roles and ongoing relationships. The first half of 2026 marked a significant step in SWI Group’s transformation into a global digital infrastructure and AI compute platform. 

Half-year results 

As of June 30, 2026, SWI Group reported €4.4 billion of total assets and €2.3 billion of Adjusted NAV, an increase of 53% since December 31, 2025. Profit for the period amounted to €631.6 million, mainly reflecting the value recognized on the investment in Genesis Digital Assets, subsequently renamed SWI Digital. 

The Group is building an integrated digital infrastructure platform spanning approximately 4 GW of power capacity across Europe and the United States, combining powered land, data centers and AI compute infrastructure. 

Genesis Digital Assets (SWI Digital) 

In June 2026, SWI Group acquired an initial interest in Genesis Digital Assets, subsequently rebranded SWI Digital. 

Following the period end, the Group increased its holding to approximately 70% of voting rights and obtained control, creating a major US digital infrastructure platform with approximately 1.2 GW of secured grid connections.

Più spazio per lavorare 

Per i lavoratori sul campo nelle utility e nel rilievo, la dimensione dello schermo del 34 è ideale per accedere a informazioni tecniche e dati dei sensori ai margini. Una tastiera opzionale può essere collegata per la redazione di report, l’inserimento dati e flussi di lavoro che richiedono un uso intensivo della tastiera quando si rientra in ufficio. 

Il suo schermo Full HD+ è dotato della modalità AdaptiveTouch di Panasonic, che rileva automaticamente l’uso di dita, penna digitale e guanti, permettendo agli utenti di passare facilmente da un’applicazione all’altra. Nonostante abbia uno schermo più grande rispetto al suo predecessore, il TOUGHBOOK 34 è più[2] leggero del 13% ed è il tablet robusto da 12,4 pollici più leggero sul mercato[3]. La nuova struttura del pacco batteria Panasonic consente alla singola batteria da 40w/h del 34 di offrire un significativo aumento del 20% nella durata rispetto al suo predecessore[4]. Offrendo fino a 18 ore di utilizzo (basato su MobileMark® 30) con una singola carica[5], il 34 offre ai team più che l’energia necessaria per utilizzare più applicazioni ad alto consumo durante un intero turno. 

Basato sul DNA di TOUGHBOOK 

Il 34 combina le prestazioni Intel® Core™ Ultra (inclusa un’architettura[6] grafica Intel Arc™ integrata), sicurezza di livello enterprise e connettività avanzata in un formato robusto  2-in-1. Come Copilot+ PC, il 34 offre prestazioni ottimizzate per l’IA per flussi di lavoro sul campo impegnativi, mentre la certificazione per Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) e Red Hat Device Edge (RHDE)[7] supporta implementazioni edge sicure e resilienti. 

Con Wi-Fi 7, connettività opzionale 4G e 5G, protezione PC Windows 11 Secured-core e verifica dell’integrità hardware basata su firmware opzionale con TOUGHBOOK Guard[8] , il 34 offre la velocità, la connettività e la sicurezza necessarie per operazioni mission-critical in qualsiasi settore e ambiente. 

Il 34 rispetta gli standard IP66[9] per l’ingresso di polvere e acqua, è stato testato contro le vibrazioni secondo le specifiche MIL-STD 810H9 e può operare a temperature comprese tra -29°C e 63°C 9.
