COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

LONDON, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On October 2nd, At the Royal Astronomical Society in London, Starmus Festival cofounders Sir Brian May and Garik Israelian awarded Professor Brian Cox the prestigious 2026 Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication, recognising his outstanding contribution to bringing science to global audiences and inspiring millions through his work as a physicist, broadcaster and public communicator.

The Stephen Hawking Medal was established ten years ago by Professor Stephen Hawking, a board member of the STARMUS Festival, to honour individuals who bridge the gap between science and society through the arts, music and film.

Brian Cox says – “It’s a great honour to receive the 2026 Stephen Hawking Medal from STARMUS, and particularly poignant for me because I was there with Stephen when the Medal was first announced 10 years ago. Astronomy is the oldest science, and in today’s fractured world I believe that striving to understand the Universe is more important than ever. Stephen believed in the search for knowledge for its own sake. ‘Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet’ was Stephen’s closing line all those years ago. For me that is what STARMUS, and science, and life, is all about.”

The Festival’s opening celebration on 17th October in Tenerife will unite science, music, and culture in an extraordinary evening featuring Andrea Bocelli, Sir Brian May and Sarah Brightman, accompanied by the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra, alongside Rick Wakeman, Rusanda Panfili, and the STARMUS All Stars Band. The evening’s centrepiece will be the presentation of the Stephen Hawking Medal, marking a decade of outstanding contributions to public engagement with science. Due to his touring schedule, Brian Cox is unable to attend the ceremony in Tenerife and was therefore presented with the medal at the private ceremony at Royal Astronomical Society, which will be broadcast during the Festival’s opening celebration.

“Ten years ago, Stephen Hawking helped us launch a dream,” said Garik Israelian, co-founder of STARMUS. “Today, we celebrate not only what has been achieved, but also the extraordinary community that has grown around the idea that science belongs to everyone. We are delighted to be awarding Brian Cox on this occasion.”

Brian May, co-founder of STARMUS, added: “The Stephen Hawking Medal was born from a shared belief that science should inspire people far beyond the scientific community. Ten years later, its message is more important than ever. At a time when truth, evidence, and critical thinking are increasingly challenged, we are proud to celebrate those who help bring science, wonder, and understanding to the world. I am delighted that this year’s Starmus is honouring Brian Cox whose uniquely powerful presentations have dramatically changed the way the general public view the world.”

As well as presenting Brian Cox with the impressive medal, Brian May and Garik Israelian also gifted him a unique OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch crafted in 18K Moonshine™ Gold.

The three discussed astronomy, humanity, music, AI, the universe, and the enduring legacy of Stephen Hawking, a decade after he and the STARMUS co-founders established the medal to celebrate outstanding contributions to science communication.

The Stephen Hawking Medal Ceremony 2026 will take place at – Starmus VIII: The Search for Truth, including a concert with Brian May, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman celebrating the union between science and music.17–22 October, Tenerife & La Palma. Tickets available www.starmus.com

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

EpiSign and Geneyx Announce Partnership to Integrate Genomic and Epigenomic Analysis for Rare Disease

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Collaboration brings EpiSign’s comprehensive DNA methylation episignature analysis together with the Geneyx genomic and multi-omics analysis platform

LONDON, ON and HERZLIYA, Israel, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — EpiSignInc. and GeneyxGenomex Ltd. today announced a partnership to advance the integration of genomic and epigenomic analysis for rare-disease interpretation.

The collaboration combines EpiSign’s expertise in DNA methylation episignature analysis with Geneyx’s genomic and multi-omics capabilities. EpiSign METRIC is available to Geneyx customers, allowing laboratories to incorporate epigenomic evidence alongside genomic and phenotypic information in an integrated interpretation workflow.

EpiSign METRIC automates the analysis of disease-associated DNA methylation episignatures across more than 300 EpiSign-associated conditions. EpiSign METRIC 5-base extends this capability beyond methylation microarrays to methylation data generated by Illumina 5-base, PacBioHiFi and Oxford Nanopore sequencing.

More than a decade of episignature discovery, validation and clinical experience has been built largely on methylation-array frameworks. EpiSign METRIC 5-base now brings that established knowledge and comprehensive reference framework directly into 5-base sequencing workflows, enabling laboratories to apply mature episignature analysis to sequencing data today rather than rebuilding that knowledge base for each new sequencing platform.

“Genomic interpretation is rapidly moving beyond looking at DNA variants in isolation,” said David Yizhar, Chief Executive Officer of Geneyx. “Our partnership with EpiSign brings together two highly complementary capabilities: Geneyx’s genomic and multi-omics analysis platform and EpiSign’s deep expertise in DNA methylation and episignatures. By making these additional layers of biological evidence accessible within the interpretation process, we aim to help laboratories resolve more complex cases and move from data to meaningful answers more efficiently.”

Dr. Bekim Sadikovic, co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of EpiSignInc., said the collaboration reflects the growing role of integrated genomic and epigenomic information in rare-disease analysis.

“Genome sequencing is increasingly capable of generating both genetic and epigenetic information from the same assay, creating an important opportunity to bring these complementary data together during interpretation,” Sadikovic. “Working with Geneyx will expand access to comprehensive episignature analysis and help move the field toward integrated genomic and epigenomic workflows for evaluating complex and unresolved cases.”

Dan Sinai, Chief Executive Officer of EpiSign Inc., said the collaboration can also address two practical challenges in rare-disease diagnosis.

“By generating genomic and epigenomic information together from a single assay, laboratories have the opportunity to reduce wet-lab testing and data-generation costs,” said Sinai. “At the same time, bringing these complementary answers together earlier can reduce sequential testing and help shorten the diagnostic odyssey for patients and families.”

The collaboration supports laboratories using array, and short- and long-read sequencing workflows and enables geneticists and laboratory teams to consider DNA methylation evidence alongside genomic variants, phenotypic information and other relevant data during case interpretation.

“Rare-disease cases are often not solved by a single type of data,” Yizhar added. “The future is multi-omics. Our goal is to give geneticists the ability to bring together the evidence they need in one analytical environment, while preserving the expertise and clinical judgment of the professionals interpreting each case.”

The companies will collaborate to expand integrated genomic and epigenomic workflows for clinical and research laboratories worldwide.

EpiSign METRIC 5-base is available for research use only.

About EpiSign Inc.

EpiSignInc. develops advanced DNA methylation analysis software for rare-disease and clinical epigenomic applications. Its EpiSign METRIC platform provides automated analysis of disease-associated DNA methylation episignatures through a comprehensive reference and multi-class classification framework. EpiSign works with clinical and research laboratories internationally through the EpiSign Clinical Testing Network and EpiSign Discovery Network.

About Geneyx

Geneyx develops comprehensive genomic and multi-omics analysis solutions designed to support geneticists, clinical laboratories and research organizations in the analysis and interpretation of complex genomic data. The Geneyx Analysis platform supports germline and somatic analysis across short- and long-read sequencing technologies and brings genomic, phenotypic and other relevant biological information together within an integrated interpretation environment.

Clockwork.io Raises $31M as LinkedIn, Together AI and WhiteFiber Adopt Its Resilience Software to Stop Wasting GPU-Hours

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

LinkedIn prevents tens of thousands of GPU-hours of downtime monthly; new TorchPass innovations preserve AI workload progress without code changes and speed reinforcement learning.

PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Clockwork.io, whose fault-tolerance software keeps AI training, reinforcement learning and inference workloads running through infrastructure failures, today announced $31 million in new funding, production deployments at LinkedIn and Together AI, and expanded adoption by WhiteFiber.

The company also introduced two new capabilities for its TorchPass solution, each capturing the state of a running distributed AI job. Multi-node platform snapshots, an industry first for training, save an entire running job across every node without changes to the training code and preserve it for recovery. Fast, asynchronous application checkpoints, taken in the background while the job runs, accelerate reinforcement learning. They deliver updated model weights to the inference replicas that generate rollouts, the examples the model learns from, so those replicas spend less time waiting or working from a stale model.

Fault tolerance has become a requirement for AI at scale

Large distributed AI workloads can span thousands of GPUs that must stay in sync: one failed GPU, dropped link or frozen server can stall the entire job. Meta reported unexpected interruptions averaging roughly one every three hours during a 54-day period of Llama 3 training on 16,384 GPUs.

The typical response is to reload a checkpoint, a saved copy of the job’s progress. Recovery can take up to 90 minutes, leaves healthy GPUs waiting, and requires the job to repeat work completed since that checkpoint. Customers pay for idle GPUs and repeated computation, and models take longer to complete. As jobs grow, each restart puts more GPU time at risk.

At this scale, keeping useful work running through failures is an infrastructure requirement. Clockwork.io meets it with a fault-tolerance suite that platform teams deploy as a layer between the hardware and the workload. LinkPass reroutes traffic around a failed link so the job never sees the fault. TorchPass moves work from a failing GPU to a healthy one so training continues instead of rolling back. Both are in production. TorchPass’s new platform snapshots, announced today, capture the state of a running distributed job so the whole job can be restored when a failure is too large to migrate around.

“Failures are inevitable at AI scale. Losing hours of useful work to them should not be,” said Suresh Vasudevan, CEO of Clockwork.io. “Fault tolerance is a goodput multiplier: it keeps GPUs doing useful work instead of waiting for recovery or repeating work already done. We built our software alongside enterprises and cloud providers operating some of the largest GPU fleets, so it handles the failures they actually see. That protection belongs in the infrastructure enterprises and cloud providers rely on every day.”

Adoption expands across enterprises, hyperscalers and neoclouds

Enterprises running their own GPU fleets, hyperscalers and neoclouds are adopting Clockwork.io for the same reason: more of their GPU-hours go to useful work.

LinkedIn has deployed LinkPass network fault tolerance across its AI infrastructure fleet and prevents tens of thousands of GPU-hours of downtime each month.

“At AI infrastructure scale, a single network issue should never sideline healthy GPUs or interrupt running workloads. Before Clockwork.io, one InfiniBand NIC flap could remove an eight-GPU server from service, while a switch port flap could drain a second server, doubling the impact to 16 GPUs,” said Raghu Hiremagalur, SVP, CTO Infrastructure, LinkedIn. “Clockwork.io helped transform that operating model. Its network fault-tolerance technology automatically reroutes traffic onto healthy paths, allowing jobs to continue uninterrupted while link, optic, cable, or NIC faults are repaired. In aggregate, Clockwork.io prevents tens of thousands of GPU-hours of downtime per month across our fleet. By turning what were once disruptive operational incidents into manageable maintenance events, Clockwork.io has helped improve infrastructure utilization and operational efficiency.”

Together AI is bringing TorchPass to market as a service on its GPU Clusters. At the PyTorch Conference, the two companies will demonstrate a live multi-node training job continuing through injected network and GPU failures without restarting.

“Our customers grade us on goodput, the share of their GPU-hours that actually move the model forward,” said Pavneet Ahluwalia, Product Lead, Together AI. “Node repair already detects faults and provisions replacement capacity automatically. Clockwork.io’s TorchPass and LinkPass build on that foundation and are designed to keep jobs moving through GPU faults and link failures, preserving progress. We are bringing them to market as the next layer of resilience in the platform.”

WhiteFiber (NASDAQ: WYFI), an existing customer, is expanding its use of Clockwork.io software across its growing global GPU-as-a-service footprint.

“Pressure-testing a cluster’s reliability before it reaches production is critical, because a customer who inherits a hidden fabric fault pays for it later in failed jobs and lost GPU-hours,” said Tom Sanfilippo, Chief Technology Officer, WhiteFiber. “Marginal optics, misconfigured NICs, and links that pass a basic test but degrade under load can slip through. Clockwork.io’s automated fleet audit validates every link and node at once, localizes faults in minutes, and lets us correct them before acceptance. We bring clusters up faster, and a customer’s first training run lands on a fabric validated end-to-end, not just powered on. With market demand growing as rapidly as it is, getting validated capacity to customers quickly is critical to our business, and it is why we are expanding Clockwork.io across our clusters.”

New TorchPass capabilities put workload protection in platform teams’ hands

Clockwork.io extended TorchPass beyond GPU migration with two capabilities platform teams have not had: a snapshot of a whole distributed job that they can take themselves, and application checkpoints fast enough to run in the background.

For training, platform snapshots save a running job’s execution state across all of its nodes so the job can be restored after an interruption. Platform teams and AI infrastructure engineers deploy it for supported workloads without waiting for application owners to modify their code or add checkpointing logic. Enterprise teams can protect training jobs across their fleet with one mechanism, and cloud providers can protect customer jobs whose code they do not control. Where teams checkpoint at the application level, TorchPass’s fast checkpoints can be taken more often, so less progress is lost and less computation repeated after a failure.

For inference, large models run across two or more servers, so one bad link can take down a whole replica and cut off a user session or agent task mid-stream. LinkPass keeps those multi-server replicas serving through link failures.

Reinforcement learning depends on both training and inference. Copies of the model generate rollouts, the trainer learns from them, and updated weights must reach the copies before they can generate with the latest version. TorchPass’s application checkpoints carry the updated weights to the rollout replicas sooner, while LinkPass keeps those replicas serving through link failures.

“Cluster fault tolerance used to be a training problem. It is now an inference problem too,” said Dylan Patel, Founder, CEO, and Chief Analyst at SemiAnalysis, whose ClusterMAX ratings benchmark GPU cloud providers. “In our ClusterMAX, TorchPass cuts training goodput loss from 14% to under 3% for a gold-rated neocloud. Reinforcement Learning (RL) ties the two together: inference replicas generate rollouts, the trainer learns from them, and the updated weights go back to the replicas. Clockwork.io keeps replicas serving through link flaps and network failures. Its extremely fast checkpoints accelerate weight transfer back into the rollout fleet, so neither direction stalls the run. One fault-tolerance layer under training, inference, and RL is where this has to be solved.”

Enterprise platform teams and cloud providers can contact Clockwork.io to evaluate the software for their workloads or explore partnership opportunities.

The round and what it funds

The round was co-led by Premji Invest, Wing Venture Capital, and Seligman Ventures, with participation from existing investors NEA and e& Capital. It brings Clockwork.io’s total funding to $73 million. The company will use the capital to accelerate the rollout of its fault-tolerance suite across training, inference and reinforcement learning, expand enterprise adoption, and scale delivery through cloud partners.

“The one thing that scales perfectly is unreliability: put enough GPUs in one machine and something is always failing,” said Greg Papadopoulos, Venture Partner, NEA. “The old playbook: stop the job, reload a checkpoint, makes no sense at today’s scale. Clockwork treats failure as the normal state: TorchPass migrates training off a failing GPU live, and now snapshots an entire running job with no code changes. It’s already saving tens of thousands of GPU-hours a month. We first backed Clockwork.io in 2021 and are thrilled to keep supporting them as they define the performance layer of the AI cluster.”

About Clockwork.io

Clockwork.io pioneers Software-Driven AI Fabrics™, a programmable layer between hardware and workload that makes GPU clusters observable, fault-tolerant, and fully utilized across any accelerator, network, or cloud. AI workloads need the whole cluster to act as one machine, yet failures and bottlenecks idle GPUs. Clockwork.io’s FleetLens platform recovers that lost capacity: nanosecond-accurate telemetry pinpoints the GPU, node, or link slowing or stalling a job, validates clusters before launch, and, with LinkPass and TorchPass, keeps workloads running through infrastructure failures and degradations, from training to inference. SemiAnalysis has independently benchmarked TorchPass as recovering from failures faster than checkpoint-restart and leading open-source frameworks. LinkedIn, Together AI, WhiteFiber, Wells Fargo, Nebius, NScale, and DCAI trust Clockwork.io to power their AI infrastructure. Learn more at

Recognition highlights ACTO’s role-based SuperAgents, cross-platform orchestration, and Life Sciences-focused approach to governed agentic AI

TORONTO and NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ACTO, uniting human intelligence with empathetic AI in Life Sciences, today announced that it has been named a Luminary in Everest Group’s Innovation Watch: Agentic AI in Life Sciences Commercial 2026, a global assessment of leading agentic AI technology providers serving commercial teams in the Life Sciences industry.

The report evaluates 22 providers of agentic AI products and platforms across two dimensions: market performance, which includes scale and maturity, and ecosystem drivers, which includes partnerships and investments. Providers are categorized as Luminaries, Fast Followers, Influencers, or Seekers. ACTO is positioned in the Luminary category, which represents providers with the strongest market performance and ecosystem drivers.

Everest Group’s research comes as agentic AI emerges as a major enabler of commercial transformation across Life Sciences. The report identifies opportunities spanning sales, marketing, medical affairs, market access, and patient services, as organizations look to agentic AI to improve decision-making, automate work, coordinate actions across systems, and enable more personalized engagement.

“As life sciences enterprises scale agentic AI across commercial functions, the focus is shifting from isolated AI applications to connected commercial platforms that can connect data, content, and workflows across roles and systems. The value of agentic AI will depend on its ability to coordinate activity across systems and functions while preserving governance, traceability, and human accountability,” said Rohit K, Practice Director at Everest Group, “ACTO differentiates through its role-based approach to agentic AI in life sciences commercial, combining domain-specific SuperAgents with cross-platform orchestration and life sciences-focused governance. Its growing partner ecosystem and early customer deployments further support enterprise adoption, positioning ACTO as a Luminary in Everest Group’s Innovation Watch: Agentic AI in Life Sciences Commercial 2026.”

ACTO’s inclusion reflects an AI strategy years in the making. The company began investing in AI in 2022 with LAICA, its AI-powered conversational assistant for Life Sciences learning, which evolved into ACTO SuperAgents, launched in 2026.

“We are thrilled to be named a Luminary by Everest Group, recognized alongside our strategic partners Veeva and Salesforce,” said Parth Khanna, Co-founder and CEO of ACTO. “We began investing in agentic AI in 2022 because we believed AI could fundamentally change how work gets done in Life Sciences, not by replacing people, but by augmenting them. That vision is now a reality. Our customers see tremendous value and impact from role-based SuperAgents that understand the person, the work they do, and the highly regulated environment in which they operate. This recognition reinforces our belief that the future of AI in Life Sciences is not about adding more tools; it’s about creating an intelligent, connected workforce where people and AI work together to achieve better outcomes.”

Built exclusively for Life Sciences, ACTO combines its AI-powered Field Excellence Platform with role-based SuperAgents that work across systems to deliver compliant, in-the-moment support—from clinical and scientific knowledge retrieval to coaching and field medical insight capture—so customer-facing professionals can spend less time navigating systems and more time strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals.

The recognition follows ACTO’s inclusion earlier this year among Everest Group’s Top 50™ Pharmaceutical Technology Providers for 2026, further underscoring the company’s continued investment in AI-powered field excellence and agentic AI purpose-built for Life Sciences.

FIN enables Hyland to integrate with Jack Henry’s SilverLake® and Symitar® Episys® core platforms

CLEVELAND, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hyland, a global leader in driving enterprise scale content intelligence and automation, today announced that it has joined the Jack Henry Fintech Integration Network (FIN). Participation in the program provides Hyland with access to Jack Henry’s technical resources to support its existing integrations with SilverLake and Symitar Episys. The Fintech Integration Network is designed to help ensure that Jack Henry’s customers can easily deploy third-party products.

Hyland OnBase, one of the financial services industries most trusted content management platforms, integrates with Jack Henry’s connect core banking data and business context platforms to support day-to-day operations. Through jXchange™ for SilverLake and symXchange™ for Symitar Episys — services-based programming interfaces that enable third-party fintechs and financial institutions to securely access core data and business rules — participating institutions can securely connect core information with OnBase, surface relevant documents in the flow of work, and apply content and process automation to improve employee productivity and service experiences. These integrations maintain data integrity by managing access through a service layer that governs all interactions, ensuring consistent and secure data exchange across platforms.

“Our customers don’t want another system to manage, they want their existing systems to work better together, and that’s exactly what our OnBase integrations with Jack Henry deliver,” said Namit Saksena, VP of financial services products at Hyland. “Being part of the Fintech Integration Network strengthens our ability to support that goal, ensuring our joint customers can continue to connect core data, content and workflows in one seamless experience.”

Financial institutions are under pressure to modernize operations without disrupting the core systems employees rely on every day. Many manage content across disconnected systems, forcing employees to switch applications, perform repetitive work, and manually locate documents. These gaps can slow down service, increase operational effort, limit a complete view of customer or member information, and create governance blind spots where content sits outside the compliance and audit controls the institution depends on.

Hyland’s established Jack Henry integrations help joint customers close that gap, connecting core banking activity with the content and workflows that support lending, member and customer service, operations, and compliance; without introducing another content silo. Rather than creating a separate repository, OnBase serves as a secure content hub that connects information across systems and brings documents and workflow into the context of core banking work, helping employees work more efficiently while continuing to use the familiar Jack Henry applications they rely on today.

Jack Henry’s FIN takes the customer out of the middle, providing fintechs with direct access to Jack Henry’s technical resources and test systems. FIN inclusion is not an endorsement of the fintech’s product.

Global leaders in medicine, life sciences, technology, finance, and the United Nations unite to move brain health evidence into homes, communities, and health systems: transforming evidence into equity.

New multisector coalition, coordinated by the Atria Research and Global Health Institute (ARGHI), launches the 30×30×50 Brain Challenge to cut stroke incidence and expand cognitive screening in 30 cities by 2031

NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The International Brain Health Coalition (IBC) launched today, bringing together a multisector, multidisciplinary global community to turn brain health science into equitable, real-world delivery. Its first commitment is the 30×30×50 Brain Challenge: by 2031, 30 cities will work to reduce stroke by 30 percent and increase cognitive screening in primary care by 50 percent.

Coordinated by the Atria Research and Global Health Institute (ARGHI), the Coalition unites patients, leaders from across sectors, and multilateral institutions, including the United Nations, behind a single mandate: to develop, validate, and scale implementation models for the early detection, intervention, and prevention of cognitive impairment, dementia, and stroke across primary care and community settings globally. Rather than generating new evidence alone, the Coalition focuses on putting what science already knows into programs, policies, and daily habits that reach people where they live, work, and age, not only where they receive care.

Neurological and cardiometabolic conditions are among the leading causes of ill health and disability worldwide, and their economic toll on families, and health systems is immense and unsustainable. The modifiable risk factors behind stroke and dementia are well established. The science for prevention is clear, what has been missing is the infrastructure to act on it.

“We are currently facing an incalculable toll on human suffering and an enormous drain on the global economy,” said Dr. David Dodick, Chair of the IBC, Chief Science and Medical Officer at the Atria Health Institute, and Co-Director of the Atria Academy of Science and Medicine. “We have the science to prevent this reality. We don’t have a knowledge gap; we have an execution failure, and IBC was built to close it.”

Today, IBC collaborators include UN Women; Thrive Global; Western University; the Western Institute for Neuroscience; the AI-Mind Institute (Norway); Eli Lilly and Company; Bristol Myers Squibb; the Royal Bank of Canada; the American Heart Association; the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement; Microsoft; NeuroCentury; Dr. Regina Benjamin, the 18th United States Surgeon General; Gen. Peter Chiarelli, former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army and former CEO of One Mind; Dr. Abdulkareem Al Olama, Founder of Sultan Al Olama Medical Centers (Dubai); and more.

“Extraordinary progress is happening across brain health, neurological sciences, and policy,” said Khadija Rejto, Vice Chair of IBC and Chair of Global Health at the Atria Research and Global Health Institute. “Cardiovascular, metabolic, and endocrine research is reshaping how we understand the brain. IBC’s role is to connect those efforts and bring brain health into the places where life actually happens, turning shared knowledge into better brain health for all.”

The IBC’s inaugural project is the 30×30×50 Brain Challenge: 30 global cities pledging a 30% reduction in stroke incidence and a 50% increase in primary-care cognitive screening by 2031, establishing a validated, replicable model that any city, health system, or country can adopt. IBC’s two launch cities are London, Ontario, Canada, and Oslo, Norway.

London, Ontario, Canada is home to the Coalition’s flagship CanDo Brain Health Implementation Initiative, a two-year trial enrolling up to 800 participants in a scalable AI-and-human coaching model targeting blood pressure, activity, sleep, and other proven drivers of cognitive decline, anchored by the Western Institute for Neuroscience at Western University.

“Brain health is the foundation of individual and societal well-being, and we have known for decades how to protect it. What we have lacked is a way to deliver that knowledge to entire populations,” said Dr. Vladimir Hachinski of the Western Institute for Neuroscience, Western University. “The International Brain Health Coalition is the first initiative built to do precisely that. It is fitting that this work begins in London, where integral brain health was first defined as a discipline, and it is my hope that what we prove here will benefit every community in the world.”

Oslo, Norway, anchors the Coalition’s European launch through the AI-Mind research environment at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo, led by Dr. Ira Haraldsen, PhD, MD, together with BrainSymph, combining multimodal AI, cognitive assessment, EEG, blood-based biomarkers, and longitudinal home monitoring to identify individuals at increased risk of cognitive decline before overt dementia develops.

“The Oslo demonstration will extend this foundation into a practical, scalable model for precision brain health prevention and early intervention, linking population and primary care screening with multimodal risk stratification and personalized follow up, while emerging Virtual Human Twin approaches investigate how brain, cardiovascular, metabolic, inflammatory, and behavioural factors interact over time to reveal modifiable risk trajectories before irreversible neurological disease develops,” said Dr. Ira Haraldsen.

This pairing of Europe’s most advanced predictive brain health science with a proven translational pathway makes Oslo a powerful demonstration environment for the IBC and creates a direct bridge to major European research, innovation, regulatory, and commercialization programs.

Quotations from IBC collaborators:

About the International Brain Health Coalition

The International Brain Health Coalition (IBC) is a multisector, implementation-focused global coalition dedicated to transforming brain health science into equitable, real world delivery. Its mission is to transform evidence into equity, closing the gap between what science knows and what communities receive. The IBC designs, tests, validates, and scales models for the early detection, early intervention, and prevention of stroke and dementia in primary care and community settings worldwide, merging neurology, cardiology, metabolic health, and behavioral science into a single implementation engine, with equity, women’s health, and data sovereignty embedded as foundational design requirements rather than add ons. A Swiss charitable association based in Geneva, the IBC is hosted and coordinated by the Atria Research and Global Health Institute and launches with demonstration cities in London, Ontario, and Oslo, Norway.

About the Atria Research and Global Health Institute

The Atria Research and Global Health Institute is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to identify, validate, and scale preventive models of care that improve health outcomes and extend healthy lives for as many people as possible, with a focus on brain, cardiovascular, cancer, and metabolic health. Acting as a translational layer between discovery and delivery, ARGHI conducts original research, generates proof of concept data for emerging aging biomarkers and interventions, and moves the approaches that hold up into real world practice through partnerships with public health organizations working directly in communities. ARGHI shares educational content with the public and the medical community free of charge, and coordinates the International Brain Health Coalition.

L’obiettivo è valorizzare un’accoglienza diffusa, legata all’identità e all’ambiente, lontana dai flussi di massa.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

ATLANTA, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Housing costs are forcing millions of people around the world into difficult trade-offs, coming at the expense of food, healthcare, financial security and major plans for the future, according to a global research report released today by Habitat for Humanity International. Titled Home at What Cost? and based on nationally representative surveys of 30,000 people across 22 countries, the report reveals that the full cost of housing extends far beyond rent or mortgage payments — it includes what people give up to secure a place to call home.

Three in 4 survey respondents (75%) say they have cut back on at least one expense in the past year to afford housing costs, with the greatest pressures falling on people already facing greater housing vulnerability, including those living in informal arrangements (89%), lower-income groups (85%) and younger generations — Gen Z and Millennials (81%). The trade-offs reach the essentials, with one-third of respondents (33%) spending less on food, 32% dipping into savings or emergency funds, and 13% delaying or avoiding medical care to afford their homes.

Despite these sacrifices, many households are still exposed, with nearly half of people globally (48%) saying one unexpected problem could threaten their ability to stay housed. Housing affordability is also forcing compromises on safety, with 40% saying they accept some level of housing risk because safer options are out of reach. Across the board, people lack confidence that solutions are on the horizon, with 56% saying the housing system in their country is broken or does not work.

“A home should never come at the cost of your health or your future. It should be the foundation of health, opportunity and financial security. Yet more than half of people believe the housing system in their country is broken or simply isn’t working for them,” said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. “We cannot accept a future where people have to lower their expectations for what a home should provide. The research shows why we need governments, businesses and communities to work together to create housing systems that help people build a future instead of simply surviving the present.”

Delayed families, declining well-being The impact of housing costs extends beyond household budgets, affecting people’s well-being today and the futures they hope to build.

Renters are nearly 1.5 times as likely as homeowners to say their housing situation could negatively affect their health (28% vs. 19%).

Meanwhile, nearly 9 in 10 respondents globally (89%) say safe, comfortable and reliable housing helps them stay mentally healthy, underlining that housing is not simply a financial issue but one that increasingly shapes people’s well-being, resilience, and ability to care for themselves and their families.

Housing safety also is increasingly impacted by climate change, with nearly a third of people (30%) expecting extreme weather to make living where they are harder over the next three years, while 18% say their home does not protect them from extreme weather such as heat, cold or flooding.

Governments, private-sector businesses, civil society and individuals all have a role to play in ensuring people can access housing that expands opportunity rather than limiting it. Habitat for Humanity is calling on governments to move from housing promises to housing pathways through political commitment and investment; on businesses to expand and innovate housing finance opportunities; on peers and partners to turn evidence into action by urging policy change, financing and accountability; and on individuals and communities to use their voices, skills and networks to help drive lasting housing solutions.

The report includes a more detailed breakdown of these findings, including country and demographic insights. To find out more about the report or Habitat for Humanity International, visit habitat.org/HomeAtWhatCost.

Methodology The nationally representative survey was conducted between April 10 and June 30, 2026, across 22 countries, with the views of 30,758 people. The research was conducted across countries, including Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa, South Korea, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This report is based on original public opinion research commissioned by Habitat for Humanity International to better understand how people experience housing in their daily lives. The research was designed to complement existing housing data by moving beyond system-level indicators and capturing how housing affects people’s sense of safety, affordability, stability, dignity, health, opportunity and community.

About Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity is a movement of people in your local area and around the world, working together to build more prosperous and vibrant communities by making sure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. Since our founding in 1976 as a Christian organization, together we have helped more than 65 million people globally build their futures on their own terms through access to decent housing. We’ve done that by working alongside people of all walks of life to build, repair and finance their homes, by innovating new ways of building and financing, and by advocating for policies that make constructing and accessing housing easier for everyone. Together, we build homes, communities and hope. To learn more, visit habitat.org

The technology startup enables people and institutions to protect, license and receive compensation for their data, work and likeness — connecting them with the growing demand for real-world human data across AI, research and media.

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SignSplit PBC, a fast-growing technology company that enables people and institutions to protect, license and contribute their data, work and likeness, today emerged from stealth with a $400 million strategic seed round secured with W Group, the global fintech and technology ecosystem serving more than 40 million users. The financing commitment, which values SignSplit at $1 billion, combines capital with a multi-year package of strategic resources to support SignSplit’s global rollout.

The next generation of AI will increasingly depend on real-world human data, knowledge, creativity and experience across fields ranging from advanced models and robotics to science, healthcare, media and entertainment. SignSplit enables people and institutions to proactively participate in that future by protecting, licensing and contributing their data, work and likeness with consent, clear provenance and defined terms. SignSplit calls this “signed data.”

Through SignSplit, AI and robotics companies, researchers and other organizations can access data and research pools built around specific needs, while contributors provide real-world data, knowledge and skills and receive compensation for their participation. SignSplit also includes a verification layer for data, work and likeness, designed to enable AI systems, social media platforms and other digital services to identify signed content and access its associated provenance, consent and terms.

“SignSplit provides solutions for a world where the boundary between human experience and technology is becoming increasingly fluid,” said Alessandro Monterosso, Co-Founder and CEO of SignSplit. “As AI reaches further into the real world, human knowledge, creativity, skills and identity will become increasingly connected to how technology evolves and interacts with the world around us. We believe SignSplit and the use of signed data can become the bridge between the two, connecting human contribution with protection, participation and compensation as technology advances.”

“SignSplit brings a new standard for the use of individuals’ and institutions’ data, work and likenesses,” said Volodymyr Nosov, Founder and President of W Group. “We believe that every serious participant in AI and the data economy will come to rely on SignSplit’s infrastructure. The scale of our commitment reflects both how early we believe we are, and how important we believe these solutions are for every industry that relies on human data.”

SignSplit was founded in 2024 by Glib Denisov, Co-Founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Product Officer. “When we started SignSplit in 2024, we were building for where we believed AI was going, not where it was at the time,” said Glib Denisov. “We saw that the next generation of AI would need more than additional data — it would need higher-quality, real-world data with clear provenance, permission and rights attached to it.”

About SignSplit

SignSplit PBC is a technology company building the infrastructure for the signed-data economy. Founded in 2024 and incorporated as a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation, SignSplit connects people and institutions with AI and robotics companies, researchers and media platforms through its signed-data platform. The company provides infrastructure for protecting, licensing and contributing real-world human data and other forms of human contribution with consent, clear provenance and defined terms.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

BROOMFIELD, Colo. and PERTH, Australia, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Quantinuum (NASDAQ: QNT), a leading quantum computing company, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The University of Western Australia (UWA) to advance Australia’s quantum capability by expanding access to advanced quantum computing, developing quantum talent, and accelerating the development of practical applications that integrate quantum computing, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC).

Through the collaboration, UWA-affiliated researchers, students, and entrepreneurs will gain cloud-based access to Quantinuum’s full-stack quantum computing platform, including Helios, the company’s latest-generation quantum computer. The partnership is designed to provide hands-on experience with advanced quantum technologies while creating new opportunities to explore how quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing can work together to address complex real-world challenges.

The organisations will also explore opportunities to expand UWA’s Quantum and AI research ecosystem through a university-wide quantum computing applications centre that would bring together academic, industry, and government stakeholders to identify and develop high-value use cases in critical sectors for Australia’s economy, including critical minerals, energy, agriculture, and healthcare.

“Australia has set an ambitious vision for quantum, and it is making meaningful progress toward turning that vision into reality thanks to leadership from institutions like UWA,” said Dr. Marvin Lee, Country Leader at Quantinuum. “Together, we’re bringing our full suite of capabilities, from world-leading hardware and software to application expertise and ecosystem programs, to develop practical quantum applications and hybrid workflows that will prepare Australia for the quantum era and support the nation’s future prosperity.”

Beyond providing access to advanced quantum systems, the partnership aims to help build the technical capabilities and innovation networks needed to support Australia’s long-term quantum ambitions. Through engagement with Quantinuum programs such as Q-Net and the Startup Partner Program, researchers, developers, and entrepreneurs will have opportunities to access training, collaborate with peers across the global quantum ecosystem, and accelerate the development of quantum-enabled solutions.

Working alongside UWA researchers and industry stakeholders, Quantinuum experts will help evaluate candidate use cases, establish technical benchmarks and assess hybrid workflows that integrate quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.

Professor Jingbo Wang, founder and Director of UWA’s Research Centre for Quantum Information, Simulation and Algorithm (QUISA), said the partnership built on UWA’s strengths in quantum computing research.

“Through co-design with potential end users and quantum computing hardware providers, this initiative will create new opportunities for UWA researchers, students and industry partners, while strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration across the University. We look forward to exploring all the opportunities this will bring for our researchers as well as student pathways, internships and workforce training initiatives,” Professor Wang said.

“Access to leading quantum technologies helps Australian researchers, students and companies build capability and understand where quantum can deliver real value,” said Petra Andrén, CEO of Quantum Australia. “Collaborations like this create opportunities to develop skills, test applications and connect research with industry challenges. Australia has strengths across the quantum technology stack. Access to the best capabilities, both here and internationally, will help translate those strengths into economic and community benefit.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring Australia remains not only a source of quantum discovery, but a place where quantum technologies are put to work solving real-world challenges and creating economic value.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Milano, 5 ottobre 2026.

costi fissi. Artigiani e commercianti iscritti all’INPS versano i contributi minimi a prescindere dal reddito prodotto.
