Peking University (PKU) alumni Wang Hong and Deng Yu were awarded the 2026 Fields Medals, one of the most prestigious honors in mathematics, marking a historic milestone for Peking University. 

The award decision was officially announced by the International Mathematical Union (IMU), which presents the medal every four years to mathematicians under the age of 40, recognizing the influence of their existing work and their promise of future achievement. Wang and Deng are two of the four mathematicians honored. 

The awards are historic for Peking University, as it marks the first time two alumni from the same cohort—2007—have won the medal in the same year. 

Beyond the awards, PKU set another record in the number of scholars invited to speak at the conference—10 alumni and 4 faculty members. 

Wang’s recognition also carries special significance. She becomes only the third woman in history to receive the Fields Medal, as well as the first Chinese woman to be awarded the honor. 

Wang is best known for her work with Joshua Zahl resolving the three-dimensional Kakeya conjecture. The longstanding problem, situated at the intersection of analysis and geometry, had challenged mathematicians for decades and has far-reaching connections across several areas of mathematics. 

She is currently a tenured professor at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHES). 

Deng entered PKU’s School of Mathematical Sciences in 2007 before continuing his undergraduate studies at MIT. He later received his Ph.D. from Princeton University and is now a professor at the University of Chicago. 

Working with Ma Xiao and Zaher Hani, Deng made a major breakthrough in Hilbert’s sixth problem. Their research established a rigorous mathematical pathway connecting microscopic particle dynamics with macroscopic kinetic and fluid equations, addressing a challenge first proposed by legendary mathematician David Hilbert more than a century ago. 

Wang and Deng followed different routes into mathematics, but their journeys began in the same PKU cohort. Their achievements highlight the growing international presence of PKU mathematicians.

Before submitting its application, Xryma intends to launch a pre-listing liquidity facility and price discovery process, comprising a private placement to institutional and qualified investors alongside a secondary market offer to Xryma existing shareholders (“shareholders”) wishing to exit prior to listing.   

The admission referred to above that is subject to the approval of Euronext may also be subject to approval by relevant regulatory authorities, and no assurance can be given that approval will be granted or as to the timing of any admission. 

The pre-listing liquidity facility and price discovery process is designed to: 

Individual shareholder mailouts explaining the details of the pre-listing liquidity facility scheme with instructions and necessary documentation will be conducted during August 2026. 

As the Primary Market Placement Price is to be determined by the subsequent bookbuild, shareholders will be given the opportunity to set a floor price which will result in the sale of their shares if the Primary Market Placement Price is higher.  Shareholders will receive the Primary Market Placement Price minus applicable fees.

Da Orsomarso, il Festival si sviluppa lungo la Riviera dei Cedri e nel Parco Nazionale del Pollino, coltivando un percorso che unisce luoghi, persone e linguaggi.   

L’esperienza del Festival continua ben oltre i giorni della manifestazione. Dopo la seconda edizione, Orsomarso ha programmato l’apertura della Biblioteca Comunale quale presidio culturale permanente. Torino, 23 Luglio 2026. Se il problema dell’auto elettrica non fosse l’auto, ma il rischio di comprarla? È la domanda al centro del secondo Osservatorio Mobilità Yoyomove, dedicato al rapporto degli italiani con la mobilità elettrica e ibrida e alle condizioni necessarie per trasformare l’interesse in una scelta concreta. 

In continuità con la prima edizione, Yoyomove ha affiancato il dato quantitativo all’ascolto delle persone, incrociando una survey dedicata sulla mobilità elettrica e ibrida, un’indagine telefonica sui clienti reali e l’analisi di migliaia di conversazioni spontanee con il proprio assistente digitale. Il quadro che emerge non descrive un rifiuto della tecnologia, ma una transizione cauta, governata soprattutto dalla percezione del rischio economico, dalla possibilità di ricaricare e dal livello di conoscenza. 

Di seguito le principali evidenze emerse nel corso della ricerca: 

•La domanda di elettrificazione è reale, ma condizionata
 

Il 29% considera attivamente l’elettrico oggi e il 42% si dichiara “aperto o curioso”, ma solo il 30,4% si sente davvero pronto. Quando il focus si sposta sulla prossima auto, la scelta ricade ancora sull’ibrido (35%) più che sull’elettrico puro (9%): il mercato non dice “no”, ma “non ancora, non così”. 

•L’ibrido è il ponte verso l’elettrico
 

Per il 77,2% degli utenti l’ibrido è più rassicurante del full electric e il 44% lo indica come prima tappa della transizione. Anche nelle conversazioni spontanee è la soluzione più presente (39%), confermando un ruolo di passaggio realistico nel breve periodo. 

•L’auto elettrica non si sposa con la città
 

Il 74% degli italiani la considera una soluzione soprattutto urbana, ma la possibilità di ricaricare a casa è disponibile solo per il 32% nelle grandi città e sale al 59% nei piccoli comuni. Di conseguenza, la propensione a scegliere l’elettrico è più bassa nelle metropoli (42%) e più alta in provincia (62%). 

•SUV e grandi percorrenze sono il cuore della domanda
 

I dati rivelano due falsi miti. I guidatori di SUV rappresentano il gruppo più numeroso del campione (43%), che è anche il più aperto all’elettrico: l’81% punta a una motorizzazione elettrificata, contro il 67% rappresentato da chi guida una city car. Anche i chilometri ribaltano le attese: tra chi percorre oltre 30.000 km l’anno, la scelta del full electric raggiunge il 35%, contro il 19% di chi resta sotto i 10.000 km. 

•Il “bluff” dell’autonomia
 

Il 67% chiede almeno 450 km di autonomia per sentirsi tranquillo, mentre metà del campione percorre meno di 40 km al giorno (15.000 km/anno). Quando la scelta si avvicina, il tema quasi scompare dalle conversazioni: più che un reale limite d’uso, l’autonomia si conferma una barriera psicologica e informativa. 

•La differenza generazionale ha un impatto concreto
 

Chi valuta alta la propria conoscenza dell’auto elettrica presenta una probabilità di adozione del 64%, contro il 43% di chi si considera poco competente. Tra i Millennials l’apertura c’è, ma il 43% non ha dove ricaricare; la Gen X è il gruppo più pronto alla conversione (60% di intenzione elettrificata), mentre il 47% dei Boomer preferisce passare prima dall’ibrido. 

•Il rischio economico dell’acquisto è la barriera decisiva
 

Prezzo (57,8%) e autonomia (50,8%) guidano le obiezioni dichiarate, ma i dati mostrano che il punto centrale è la prevedibilità: il 77% ritiene che il noleggio a lungo termine faciliti la transizione e l’80,2% si fiderebbe di più dell’elettrico con una formula “tutto compreso”. Le leve più efficaci sono la certezza del canone (53,8%), la manutenzione inclusa (46,9%), l’assicurazione (38%) e la possibilità di provare il veicolo senza acquistarlo (23,1%). 

Il secondo Osservatorio fotografa quindi una domanda di mobilità sostenibile già presente, ma frenata da dubbi concreti – economici, infrastrutturali e cognitivi – più che da una resistenza ideologica. In questo scenario, il noleggio a lungo termine può trasformare un acquisto percepito come incerto in un’esperienza prevedibile, reversibile e senza sorprese, rimuovendo in particolare il tema della svalutazione e rendendo più semplice sperimentare una tecnologia ancora poco conosciuta.

Ormai, quando si fa una ricerca su Google, quasi sicuramente la prima risposta è generata dall’AI Overview. Una sintesi comoda per alcuni lettori frettolosi, ma un danno per i siti internet. Tutti i siti web, infatti, hanno registrato un crollo delle visite provenienti dalla ricerca organica di Google, visto che solamente il 21% degli utenti clicca su un link quando è presente un AI Overview nei risultati di ricerca. Inoltre, il 70% degli utenti non legge oltre il primo terzo della risposta AI. 

Grazie a un’indagine del New York Times è stata indagata l’attendibilità di questa tecnologia, arrivando a scoprire che il 91% dei riassunti generati dall’intelligenza artificiale contiene informazioni corrette, ma solo il 39% supera il controllo qualità e può essere definito affidabile, e dunque pienamente supportato dalle fonti citate, e basato sulla richiesta della query. 

Qualunque ricerca si faccia su internet, oggi moltissimi utenti si fermano al riassunto prodotto dall’intelligenza artificiale, declassando il clic ad una scelta opzionale. Questo avviene anche quando l’utente deve scegliere un provider internet. Prima si confrontavano le offerte, si leggevano le recensioni per farsi un’idea sulla qualità del servizio e dell’assistenza, si verificava la copertura. Ormai si leggono poche righe in cima al motore di ricerca.

L’intelligenza artificiale non è un oracolo

“Thailand’s investment growth held steady even as the world economy faced real turbulence,” said Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). “This reflects strong investor confidence in Thailand’s potential as a base for the industries of the future.” 

This digital windfall was accompanied by robust capital commitments across other high-value industries. The electrical appliances and electronics sector drew $3.56 billion (approx. 120.2 billion baht) across 179 projects, while agriculture and food processing secured $1.82 billion (approx. 61.4 billion baht) across 131 projects. Additionally, logistics and high-value services attracted $1.19 billion (approx. 40.2 billion baht) across 170 projects, and the automotive sector drew $759.2 million (approx. 25.7 billion baht) across 122 projects. 

Other notable sectors included mining, metals and materials at $603.5 million (approx. 20.4 billion baht) across 128 projects, chemicals and petrochemicals at $489.1 million (approx. 16.5 billion baht) across 110 projects, and machinery, automation and robotics at $387.4 million (approx. 13.1 billion baht) across 82 projects, signaling broad-based industrial modernization. 

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) applications drove the bulk of the growth, skyrocketing 80% year-on-year to $40.5 billion (approx. 1.37 trillion baht) across 877 projects. 

Singapore emerged as the top source of FDI, filing applications worth $33.2 billion (approx. 1.12 trillion baht) across 158 projects. The United Kingdom followed as the second-largest investor at $1.40 billion (approx. 47.2 billion baht) across 11 projects, with China close behind at $1.35 billion (approx. 45.8 billion baht) across 321 projects, Taiwan at $1.12 billion (approx. 38.0 billion baht) across 47 projects, and Japan at $970.1 million (approx. 32.8 billion baht) across 123 projects. 

These investments remain heavily concentrated in digital technology — including data centers, data hosting, and cloud services — followed by electronics and electrical appliances such as optical transceivers, printed circuit boards, hard disk drives, and data-center networking and cooling systems, along with humanoid robotics parts, automotive parts, food and beverage, and advanced materials. Geographically, Thailand’s industrialized Central region claimed the largest share of capital at $26.7 billion (approx. 903.8 billion baht) across 513 projects, followed by the Eastern region at $14.7 billion (approx. 495.7 billion baht). The Northeastern, Southern, Western, and Northern regions each drew smaller totals, but the North stood out with investment value up 93 percent year-on-year, led by energy and utilities, agriculture and food processing, and medical projects. 

To support the massive power requirements of next-generation data centers, Thailand is seeing a parallel surge in renewable energy infrastructure. The energy and utilities sector recorded 221 projects worth $1.17 billion (approx. 39.5 billion baht) during the first half of the year, dominated by 198 clean energy initiatives—including solar, wind, biomass, and biogas power plants—valued at $779.7 million (approx. 26.4 billion baht). 

Concurrently, manufacturers are investing in automation to remain competitive on the global stage. Under the BOI’s “Smart and Sustainable Industry” initiative, companies submitted 132 applications valued at $507.6 million (approx. 17.2 billion baht) to upgrade machinery, adopt digital technology, and integrate automation and robotics into production and services, raising productivity and moving Thai industry toward higher-value, sustainable manufacturing. 

The projects approved by the BOI in the first half of 2026 will generate over 82,000 jobs for Thai workers and consume approximately $11.4 billion (approx. 386 billion baht) in domestic raw materials annually, accounting for 42 percent of the projects’ total raw material use, and is expected to boost the nation’s export capacity by more than $36.8 billion (approx. 1.24 trillion baht) per year. 

The BOI approved investment promotion applications for 1,300 projects valued at $38.7 billion (approx. 1.31 trillion baht) in the first half of 2026.

Nel 2025 l’uso dell’IA tra le imprese italiane è raddoppiato, ma competenze, costi e norme frenano le Pmi e alimentano la domanda di incentivi. 

Bologna, 23 Luglio 2026. L’intelligenza artificiale è entrata stabilmente nel tessuto produttivo italiano. Nel 2025 la utilizzava già il 16,4% delle imprese con almeno dieci addetti, una quota raddoppiata rispetto all’8,2% del 2024 e più che triplicata sul 5% del 2023, come certifica il report “Imprese e Ict” pubblicato dall’Istat a dicembre 2025. La crescita trova conferma nel valore di mercato: nel 2024, in Italia l’IA ha toccato 1,2 miliardi di euro, in aumento del 58% sull’anno precedente, secondo l’Osservatorio Artificial Intelligence del Politecnico di Milano.  

Gli ambiti in cui viene applicata più spesso sono il marketing e le vendite, l’organizzazione dei processi amministrativi e, per circa un’impresa su cinque, la ricerca e sviluppo. 

Il quadro nel suo insieme, però, resta a due velocità. Tra chi ha già adottato l’IA la priorità si è spostata dalla sperimentazione all’industrializzazione dei sistemi nei processi. Ma se tra le grandi imprese l’utilizzo è salito al 53,1%, tra le Pmi si ferma al 15,7%: la distanza tra i due gruppi è passata da circa venti punti del 2023 a trentasette del 2025, l’unico indicatore digitale in cui il divario, invece di ridursi, si allarga. Eppure lo spazio di crescita resta enorme, visto che oltre otto imprese su dieci non utilizzano ancora alcuna tecnologia di IA. E se il digitale è ormai una leva di competitività sui mercati esteri, per le Pmi il rischio è restare indietro proprio sulla tecnologia più strategica. 

Le ragioni del ritardo, in realtà, non sono soprattutto tecnologiche. Stando alle rilevazioni Istat, tra le aziende che hanno valutato un investimento in IA senza poi realizzarlo, l’ostacolo citato più spesso è la mancanza di competenze adeguate, indicata da quasi il 60%.
 

Seguono la scarsa chiarezza del quadro normativo, segnalata dal 47,3%, e i costi elevati, al 43%. 

Quelli appena descritti sono gli stessi nodi che una piccola impresa incontra ogni volta che prova a programmare un investimento in innovazione: capire se possiede i requisiti, sostenere la spesa iniziale e, soprattutto, orientarsi tra regole e scadenze che cambiano di continuo. Una combinazione che scoraggia l’adozione di nuove tecnologie anche quando vi sono finanziamenti pubblici e agevolazioni. 

Sul fronte degli incentivi, in effetti, gli strumenti non mancano. Tra Transizione 5.0, crediti d’imposta per gli investimenti in beni tecnologici, bandi regionali ed europei e misure di finanza agevolata legate a digitalizzazione e innovazione, le possibilità di sostenere economicamente questi progetti sono numerose. Il problema, semmai, è quello opposto: l’offerta è così ampia e mutevole che individuare la misura giusta, verificarne i requisiti e presentare la domanda nei tempi previsti diventa un’attività a sé, complicata da gestire per chi non dispone di un ufficio dedicato, una condizione tutt’altro che scontata nelle piccole realtà. 

È qui che si inserisce una novità degli ultimi mesi: la stessa tecnologia che le imprese stanno portando in produzione ha cominciato a entrare anche nella ricerca dei finanziamenti. Dal 2026 la consulenza in finanza agevolata si fa “aumentata”, con l’intelligenza artificiale impiegata per setacciare le oltre mille misure aggiornate ogni anno e incrociarle con il profilo della singola azienda.  

A muoversi in questa direzione sono operatori specializzati come Golden Group, che su questo metodo ha costruito il proprio servizio di consulenza: l’IA non sostituisce il tecnico, ma ne accelera il lavoro, lasciando all’esperienza dei consulenti l’analisi finale e il rapporto con l’imprenditore. L’obiettivo dichiarato non è automatizzare la consulenza, ma ridurre i tempi di analisi e aumentare le probabilità di intercettare la misura adatta a ciascuna impresa. 

La direzione, in fondo, è già tracciata: man mano che la complessità aumenta, cresce anche la richiesta di supporto specialistico per accedere a bandi e agevolazioni. Per le piccole e medie imprese la sfida dei prossimi anni si gioca su due fronti: portare l’intelligenza artificiale dentro la produzione e, allo stesso tempo, saper usare gli strumenti, pubblici e privati, capaci di finanziarla.

“Questo intervento era già stato programmato e finanziato e oggi entra nella fase di realizzazione – ricorda Matteo Giusti, assessore ai lavori pubblici –. Riteniamo importante garantire continuità alle opere che rispondono a esigenze concrete delle scuole e della città, portando avanti gli investimenti già avviati e seguendone l’attuazione fino al completamento. L’obiettivo resta quello di assicurare a studenti, insegnanti e società sportive spazi sicuri, funzionali e adeguati alle attività che vi si svolgono”

I lavori comprendono anche l’installazione di un controsoffitto antisfondellamento e il rinnovo dell’isolamento acustico, con l’obiettivo di rendere gli ambienti più idonei allo svolgimento delle attività sportive. Nel complesso, gli interventi contribuiranno anche a limitare le dispersioni termiche e ad adeguare la struttura agli attuali standard in termini di efficienza e comfort.

La palestra è utilizzata dagli studenti dell’istituto e, in orario extrascolastico, dalle associazioni sportive del territorio. Al termine dei lavori potrà contare su spazi più adeguati alle esigenze delle diverse attività che vi si svolgono.

FIRENZE – “Dopo aver ascoltato in audizione i docenti della Rete nazionale degli Istituti tecnici e le loro proposte, riferiremo all’assessora all’Istruzione Alessia Nardini gli elementi emersi, affinché la Regione possa farsi promotrice di un’interlocuzione con il ministero dell’istruzione e del merito. L’obiettivo è portare alla sua attenzione le criticità evidenziate e chiedere l’apertura di un momento di ascolto e confronto sulla riforma”. Lo ha dichiarato la presidente della commissione cultura del consiglio regionale, Diletta Fallani (Avs), al termine dell’audizione dei docenti aderenti alla Rete nazionale degli Istituti tecnici, impegnati da mesi a evidenziare gli effetti dell’introduzione della riforma ministeriale.

Nel corso dell’audizione, i docenti hanno consegnato alla commissione il documento nazionale con cui illustrano la situazione e avanzano alcune proposte di modifica. Secondo quanto esposto, la riforma incide sull’organizzazione scolastica, sulla qualità dell’offerta formativa, sulle aspettative delle famiglie e rischia di produrre ricadute anche sul sistema produttivo.

Le famiglie hanno spiegato i docenti, “a settembre si troveranno con figli iscritti a un percorso di studi diverso da quello presentato durante gli open day e sulla base del quale avevano effettuato la loro scelta“. Tra gli aspetti maggiormente segnalati vi è il superamento del biennio unico, sostituito da un percorso di specializzazione fin dal primo anno. “Il biennio unico va reintrodotto – hanno affermato i docenti – perché consente agli studenti di maturare una scelta consapevole del successivo indirizzo di specializzazione e garantisce una preparazione più solida anche in vista dell’accesso agli studi universitari”. È stata inoltre richiesta la reintroduzione delle due ore eliminate al quinto anno, una di italiano e una dedicata alle discipline tecniche.

Secondo la Rete nazionale degli Istituti tecnici, la riforma potrebbe avere conseguenze anche sul tessuto produttivo. “Le aziende rischiano di trovare tecnici preparati a eseguire, ma con minori strumenti per innovare – hanno osservato i docenti – con possibili ripercussioni sulla competitività dei distretti produttivi e, nel tempo, sul piano sociale”.

Per queste ragioni, i docenti hanno chiesto alla Regione di promuovere un confronto con il ministero dell’istruzione e del merito, sollecitando il rinvio dell’entrata in vigore della riforma.
