Barcelona institution joins Triumph portfolio, expanding opportunities for international students and global reach for both organizations 

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. and BARCELONA, Spain, July 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Triumph Higher Education Group (Triumph) today announced it acquired Culinary Institute of Barcelona (CIB), a Barcelona-based institution known for its innovation-driven approach to professional culinary education, effective July 17, 2026. 

The acquisition brings CIB into Triumph’s culinary education portfolio alongside 
Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts (Escoffier), the largest culinary school brand in the United States,* and Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia, strengthening Triumph’s global network of career-focused culinary institutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. 

Together, Triumph’s network will serve more than 8,000 students annually, with an alumni network of more than 25,000 and more than 150 faculty and chef instructors across North America and Europe. CIB will continue operating from its Barcelona, Spain campus with no disruption for students or programs. The institute will maintain its distinctive methodology, faculty and industry relationships, and will operate within Triumph’s culinary division. 

Triumph said the acquisition supports its strategy to expand professional education programs in high-demand sectors, including culinary arts and hospitality, while broadening global opportunities for students across its network. CIB’s forward-looking educational model reinforces the business-focused curriculum across Triumph’s institutions.

Ora è venuto a Pistoia con tanta fame, umiltà e voglia di mettersi in gioco in un’altra piazza importante come questa”

La Regione Toscana ha pubblicato la terza edizione dell’avviso pubblico per il finanziamento di voucher formativi dedicati ai liberi professionisti, mettendo a disposizione un fondo di 2 milioni e mezzo di euro. Le risorse provengono dal programma regionale del FSE+ 2021-2027 e rientrano nelle attività del progetto Giovanisì.

Con questo nuovo intervento, l’investimento complessivo stanziato nell’attuale programmazione europea per la formazione dei professionisti raggiunge quasi gli 8 milioni di euro. Nelle prime due edizioni, come evidenziato dall’assessore alla formazione e al lavoro Alberto Lenzi, sono stati erogati circa 5,4 milioni di euro, a beneficio di 2.141 professionisti, con una prevalenza di donne e di iscritti agli ordini.

Ciascun voucher potrà coprire una spesa massima di 3.000 euro per sostenere percorsi di aggiornamento finalizzati a rafforzare le competenze professionali e a stimolare l’innovazione in ambito tecnologico, ambientale, organizzativo e gestionale. Possono presentare domanda i professionisti titolari di partita IVA individuale, oppure coloro che operano in forma associata o societaria senza partita IVA individuale. I fondi rimarranno disponibili fino a esaurimento.

I finanziamenti copriranno master di primo e secondo livello, corsi di perfezionamento e specializzazione erogati da università o AFAM, singole annualità di scuole di specializzazione e corsi di formazione e aggiornamento professionale. I percorsi dovranno essere avviati tra il momento della presentazione della domanda e il 28 febbraio 2027, con una durata massima di 12 mesi, che sale a 18 mesi esclusivamente nel caso dei master e dell’ultimo anno delle scuole di specializzazione.

SHANGHAI and MOLNDAL, Sweden, July 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Suzhou Ribo Life Science Co., Ltd.  (06938.HK) and its subsidiary Ribocure Pharmaceuticals AB (collectively referred to as “Ribo”) today announce at China Pharmaceutical Innovation Conference (CPIC) in Shanghai, the positive results from a Phase 2a study in Europe evaluating vortosiran (RBD4059), Ribo’s siRNA therapy targeting coagulation Factor XI (FXI), in patients with chronic coronary artery disease (CAD).   

The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study demonstrated that vortosiran in patients receiving standard of care, aspirin, treatment was generally well tolerated and achieved profound, dose-dependent, and long-lasting suppression of FXI activity (NCT06717074, clinicaltrials.gov). Patients with chronic CAD with previous myocardial infarction on aspirin were investigated in the current trial. Patients completing the high dose group vortosiran dosing regimen, at a maintenance dose of 400mg, achieved a mean maximum reduction in FXI activity of 92%, which sustained for several months following dosing. This data supports every three to six months dosing in various indications. 

The degree of FXI inhibition is markedly greater than that estimated for e.g. the ongoing small molecule programs, typically dosed once or twice daily, currently in Phase 3 clinical development. 

Importantly, no treatment-related serious adverse events, major bleeding events, or clinically relevant non-major bleeding events were observed. 

These findings provide the world’s first clinical proof-of-concept for siRNA-mediated FXI suppression in patients with coronary artery disease, supporting the potential of vortosiran as a differentiated, long-acting antithrombotic therapy. By targeting FXI, vortosiran aims to reduce thrombotic risk while preserving hemostasis, potentially addressing a major unmet need in cardiovascular disease.

L’incontro è stato strutturato in modo da favorire un apprendimento interattivo, stimolando la naturale curiosità dei bambini e permettendo loro di comprendere i fondamenti del vivere civile.

Durante la visita, i militari hanno spiegato il significato dei colori della bandiera italiana e hanno mostrato i veicoli in dotazione al Pronto Intervento 112, tra cui le autoradio e le motociclette. Al fine di far comprendere, attraverso l’esperienza diretta, le procedure volte a garantire la sicurezza stradale e l’incolumità pubblica, è stata allestita una simulazione di posto di controllo. I bambini, indossando le pettorine rifrangenti in uso all’Arma, hanno così potuto osservare il funzionamento del precursore per la rilevazione del tasso alcolemico e interagire via radio con gli operatori della centrale operativa.

Il momento di confronto ha offerto ampio spazio alle domande dei partecipanti, i quali hanno mostrato profondo interesse per le divise, i segni distintivi e le dinamiche del servizio a tutela della comunità. Il sindaco e l’assessore sottolineano come la scelta, per quanto dolorosa, sia guidata dalla necessità di coniugare la tutela del patrimonio arboreo con la sicurezza pubblica.

“Gli alberi sono organismi viventi – proseguono Capecchi e Trallori – e possono andare incontro a processi di deperimento anche irreversibili, determinati da una combinazione di fattori climatici, ambientali, pedologici e fitosanitari. Quando le condizioni di un esemplare non sono più compatibili con la sicurezza delle persone, il nostro dovere è intervenire, senza esitazioni ma anche senza sottovalutare il valore di ogni pianta che viene a mancare”.

L’amministrazione comunale conferma il proprio impegno a proseguire, già nelle prossime settimane, il percorso di rinnovo del patrimonio arboreo cittadino. Oltre allo studio per l’individuazione di un’area nella quale avviare un primo intervento sperimentale di riforestazione urbana, sarà valutata anche la possibilità di sostituire gli esemplari abbattuti all’interno del Villone Puccini o nelle immediate vicinanze, compatibilmente con le condizioni agronomiche, paesaggistiche e con gli spazi disponibili.
