The T14 features a smart dual-zone climate control system with independently regulated temperatures for the driver and passenger compartments. With a cooling capacity of 36,000 kcal and a heating capacity of 38,000 kcal, the system maintains a consistently comfortable interior in both freezing and scorching conditions. 

Interior materials have been upgraded with eco-friendly, low-odor options, achieving an odor level of no higher than 2.5 at 40°C and no higher than 3.0 at 80°C. Paired with a fresh-air ventilation system, the cabin atmosphere remains crisp and clean throughout every journey. 

Ergonomically designed seats offer enhanced support and body contouring to reduce fatigue on long trips. ZF air suspension and an automatic transmission effectively filter road vibrations and eliminate shift jolts, further improving the ride. Additionally, 26 premium speakers and a front-center 22-inch HD display create an immersive audiovisual experience, while amenities including a refrigerator, toilet, water dispenser and charging ports address the practical needs of long-distance travel.

On the economy front, the T14 employs an ECAS system that adjusts the body height automatically based on vehicle speed. Combined with electronic rear-view mirrors and a streamlined front-wall design, the drag coefficient is reduced by 20%. Building on this, the BlueCore intelligent fuel-saving system and electric fans further optimize energy consumption, delivering a fuel saving of 2% to 3%. 

More Intelligent: Simplifying Driver Operations 

The T14’s driver zone features the Yutong intelligent cockpit system, equipped with a 10.25-inch instrument display and a 12.8-inch smart central control screen. The system supports full-vehicle 1080P HD monitoring, a 360-degree panoramic view, ambient lighting control, mobile phone connectivity with screen mirroring, and USB connectivity. It enables 20% more functions while reducing physical switches by 60%, lowering the complexity of driver operations.

Il provvedimento scatterà a partire dalla mezzanotte e resterà in vigore per tutte le 24 ore della giornata. Le zone maggiormente interessate dal peggioramento delle condizioni atmosferiche saranno la Lunigiana, la Garfagnana e la Valle del Serchio.

Il quadro meteorologico andrà progressivamente a deteriorarsi a causa del lento passaggio di una perturbazione destinata a stazionare e condizionare il tempo sulla regione fino alla giornata di venerdì, con fenomeni temporaleschi localmente intensi previsti fin dalla mattinata di domani.

“I danni stimati superano già i 200 mila euro e colpiscono luoghi centrali della nostra comunità: scuole, impianti sportivi, cimiteri e spazi culturali – evidenzia il sindaco Giovanni Capecchi. Continueremo a mettere il nostro impegno per completare le verifiche, garantire la sicurezza e ripristinare ogni struttura nel minore tempo possibile”.

Il quadro complessivo dei danni agli edifici e agli impianti comunali supera quindi i 200 mila euro ed è ancora in evoluzione. Gli accertamenti proseguono su altre scuole e altri edifici pubblici, per definire l’entità dei danni e le risorse necessarie al ripristino.

L’evento ha provocato numerosi danni anche ai privati. Sono tanti i cittadini che hanno segnalato problemi al Comune, con i quali l’amministrazione è tuttora in contatto e ai quali è stato fornito supporto fin dalle prime ore dell’emergenza.

Parallelamente proseguono le attività di messa in sicurezza e sistemazione delle aree verdi colpite. Per gli eventi meteorologici del 20 e 21 agosto, il presidente della Regione Toscana ha dichiarato lo stato di emergenza regionale. Un passaggio che consente di proseguire la ricognizione dei danni e predisporre il Piano degli interventi, individuando le misure urgenti da finanziare e realizzare nei territori interessati.

Come da tradizione, il via ufficiale sarà dato da sua figlia Elisa.

Il ritrovo per i partecipanti è fissato a partire dalle 8 di domenica 13 settembre nel parcheggio dell’Auditorium in via Panconi. La partenza del serpentone colorato scatterà alle 10, per completare un percorso cittadino pianeggiante di circa 8 chilometri, adatto a persone di tutte le età. Il rientro in via Panconi è previsto intorno alle 12.

Per le maschere di gruppo sarà assegnato il 6° Memorial Roberto Maltinti, per le maschere singole l’11° Memorial Ignazio Bianchi, per le maschere Under 14 il 4° Trofeo ITAS Assicurazioni e per le maschere sportive il 7° Trofeo “Silvano Fedi”. Oltre al divertimento, il vero motore della Biciclettata è la beneficenza. Dal 2009 a oggi, l’iniziativa ha superato il traguardo record di euro 106.172,20 raccolti e interamente devoluti al terzo settore locale. L’iscrizione è, come sempre, a offerta libera e dà diritto a ricevere il pettorale (necessario per l’estrazione delle biciclette) e la maglietta ufficiale dell’evento fino a esaurimento scorte.

I fondi raccolti tramite le donazioni spontanee dei partecipanti saranno quest’anno devoluti alla Fondazione MAiC Onlus (realtà attiva nell’assistenza e riabilitazione delle persone con disabilità) e alla sezione Aisla di Pistoia (Associazione che dal 2006 segue le persone con SLA su tutto il territorio provinciale con il supporto di volontari attivi; particolarmente importante è il Progetto Supporto Fisioterapia Domiciliare gratuito per i malati di SLA).

Le iscrizioni alla pedalata, oltre che domenica mattina, fino a mezz’ora prima del via ufficiale, si potranno effettuare già sabato 12 settembre al villaggio allestito in via Panconi (orario 9.30 – 19), dove saranno presenti – con possibilità di praticarle gratuitamente – realtà sportive pistoiesi come l’atletica leggera, la scherma, il basket; inoltre potremo assistere alle esibizioni di una scuola di ballo, un musical e tanto altro, come le magie di un mago che sorprenderà i bambini presenti.

Modifiche alla viabilità

Per consentire lo svolgimento della manifestazione saranno adottate alcune modifiche temporanee alla viabilità.

In particolare, in via dei Panconi, nel tratto compreso tra viale Adua e via Spartitoio, dalle 6 alle 14 sarà istituito il divieto di sosta con rimozione forzata per tutti i veicoli, ad eccezione di quelli impegnati nella manifestazione. Nello stesso tratto, dalle 10 alle 12.30, sarà inoltre vietato il transito, fatta eccezione per i mezzi coinvolti nell’iniziativa e per quelli di soccorso.

Durante il passaggio della biciclettata, dalle 10 alle 12.30, il transito sarà temporaneamente vietato anche lungo il percorso della manifestazione, con la chiusura delle strade interessate in corrispondenza delle intersezioni. Il provvedimento riguarderà via Panconi, via dello Spartitoio, via Mazzini, viale Petrocchi, la rotonda di Porta Lucchese, via Sacconi, via Puccini (San Vitale), corso Gramsci, via Sant’Andrea, via del Carmine, via delle Pappe, via Filippo Pacini, via Palestro, via Cavour, piazza Gavinana, via Buozzi, via Curtatone e Montanara, via Bozzi, piazza Mazzini, via Porta al Borgo, viale Petrocchi, via Desideri, via San Biagio in Cascheri, viale Adua, fino al ritorno in via Panconi.

Le chiusure saranno effettuate progressivamente in base all’avanzamento delle persone partecipanti, evitando quindi, per quanto possibile, l’interruzione contemporanea della circolazione sull’intero percorso. Potranno inoltre essere adottate ulteriori disposizioni temporanee, come restringimenti della carreggiata e direzioni obbligatorie, qualora necessarie per garantire la sicurezza di chi partecipa e di chi percorre le strade interessate.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Quantinuum (Nasdaq: QNT), a leading quantum computing company, today announced it has finalized an agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s CHIPS Research and Development Office for $100 million in federal funding deployed through the CHIPS and Science Act. The award, which follows a letter of intent announced in May, supports R&D and U.S. quantum semiconductor manufacturing capabilities needed to deploy large-scale, fault-tolerant trapped-ion quantum computers. 

Quantinuum, which was the only company with a trapped-ion based architecture to be awarded CHIPS R&D funding, develops the world’s most accurate commercial[1] computers with industry-leading error correction fidelity.[2] The company leverages established semiconductor manufacturing processes to help ensure reliability, repeatability, and scalability of the company’s current and future quantum computers.

Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson returns September 18–20 with Olympians, Paralympians, international athletes and civic leaders, including the Lord Mayor of Dublin, joining Chicagoans to celebrate the river’s transformation 

CHICAGO, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson will bring back The Big Jump and expand the 2026 field to 750 qualified swimmers. Registration is now open for both events at ChicagoRiverSwim.org. 

The Big Jump will kick off the weekend on Friday, September 18, giving registered members of the public a rare, sanctioned opportunity to enter the river while raising funds for ALS research and youth swim education. Mayor Johnson will serve as master of ceremonies, joined by Olympians and Paralympians from the U.S. and abroad, including Dutch Olympic gold medalist Maarten van der Weijden and Czech ice-swimming world champion Max Munson, along with international civic leaders including Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron and notable Chicagoans including Chicago Bears legend Charles Tillman and GRAMMY Award-winning producer and DJ White Shadow.

The Big Jump revives an event first held in 2017, when Cook County Commissioner Josina Morita and Friends of the Chicago River brought public officials together in Chinatown for a sanctioned jump into the river. The event celebrated progress in restoring the river and demonstrated a shared commitment to making the Chicago-Calumet River system safely swimmable and accessible to all. 

The Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson is a charitable open-water event held along the main stem of the Chicago River. Launched in 2025, the inaugural event brought 263 swimmers into the river for Chicago’s first organized open-water swim in 98 years and attracted international attention to the city’s transformed waterway.

The expanded weekend reflects decades of investment, advocacy, research and collaboration that have improved water quality and transformed the Chicago River into one of the city’s most important recreational and civic assets. That progress has been advanced by the City of Chicago, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Friends of the Chicago River, Current, Shedd Aquarium, the Chicago Park District and many other public, nonprofit and community partners. Water quality will be closely monitored leading up to and throughout the weekend, including testing conducted by water-quality experts at the University of Illinois Chicago. 

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATIONOlympians, Paralympians, accomplished swimmers and civic leaders from Chicago, across the United States and around the world will come together for Swim Weekend, with athletes and civic leaders traveling from the Netherlands, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Ireland. U.S. Olympic silver medalist Maritza Correia McClendon will participate in both events on behalf of the USA Swimming Foundation. The first Black American woman to make a U.S. Olympic swim team, she will highlight the Foundation’s partnership with the Chicago River Swim and their shared commitment to expanding access to lifesaving swim lessons and water-safety education.

Three-time U.S. Olympian and Olympic gold medalist Blake Pieroni will compete in Sunday’s one-mile Swim. A native of Chesterton, Indiana, Pieroni won Olympic gold as a member of both the 2016 and 2020 U.S. 4×100-meter freestyle relay teams. 

Dutch Olympic gold medalist Maarten van der Weijden will travel from the Netherlands to represent his country and will participate in The Big Jump on Friday. A leukemia survivor who won Olympic gold in open-water swimming, he has since used extraordinary endurance swims to raise millions for cancer research. Chicago’s connection to European urban swimming extends beyond this year’s participants. Swim founder Doug McConnell was inspired by Amsterdam’s relationship with its waterways and the success of the Amsterdam City Swim, which demonstrated how an urban waterway could become the centerpiece of a world-class community event. McConnell often credits that inspiration as part of his vision for bringing a river swim to Chicago. 

Mexican Olympic swimmer Jorge Andrés Iga César will represent Mexico in The Big Jump on Friday. Iga César competed at the 2024 Paris Games and holds Mexico’s national record in the 200-meter freestyle. He has earned four Pan American Games medals, including silver, and 19 medals at the Central American and Caribbean Games. 

Two-time U.S. Paralympian and Tokyo silver medalist Ahalya Lettenberger will participate in The Big Jump and will compete in the one-mile Swim. Born in Chicago, Lettenberger began swimming at age 11 and went on to represent the United States at the Tokyo and Paris Paralympic Games. 

Paralympic silver medalist Grace Nuhfer will participate in The Big Jump on Friday. The Indiana native won silver at the 2024 Paris Games in the S13 100-meter butterfly before becoming world champion in the event in 2025. She also earned two World Championships bronze medals in freestyle. 

Current ice-swimming world champion Max Munson will participate in The Big Jump on Friday and compete in the one-mile Swim. Munson will join the weekend from Prague, Czech Republic. An accomplished pool, open-water and winter swimmer, he is the reigning age-group ice-swimming world champion in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle and has set multiple Czech freestyle records. 

The weekend will also welcome international civic leadership, including Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron, who will travel to Chicago to attend the Chicago River Swim. Elected officials, celebrities, civic leaders and other special guests will also participate, with additional names to be announced.

Hankook & Company Co., Ltd.’s Energy Solution (ES) Business Headquarters and Hanon Systems are jointly exhibiting under the Hankook brand. The event marks their second joint aftermarket exhibition under the brand, following AAPEX 2025 in Las Vegas.

AMSTERDAM, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Euro NCAP published the AION UT’s 2026 safety rating on September 2, awarding the electric hatchback five stars. The score applies to all variants and left- and right-hand-drive configurations. 

Revised protocol 

Euro NCAP introduced revised protocols for 2026, organizing its assessment around four stages of vehicle safety: Safe Driving, Crash Avoidance, Crash Protection and Post-Crash Safety. The framework considers how a vehicle supports the driver before a collision, helps avoid an impact, protects occupants and other road users during an impact, and supports rescue after a collision. 

The AION UT scored 66% for Safe Driving, 74% for Crash Avoidance, 91% for Crash Protection and 88% for Post-Crash Safety. Euro NCAP awarded the model five stars based on its overall performance across these four stages. 

Detailed results 

For Crash Protection, Euro NCAP reported good or adequate protection for all occupants in the frontal offset test. The two child dummies seated in the rear received good protection and maximum points. In the full-width frontal test, protection was good or adequate in most areas. The AION UT achieved full points in the side-pole tests, including the far-side assessment. A center airbag is fitted to help reduce contact between front-seat occupants in a side impact. 

The Crash Avoidance assessment covered the vehicle’s autonomous emergency braking and lane-support functions in a range of scenarios involving vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians and cyclists. Euro NCAP noted that the autonomous emergency braking system performed well in many advanced test scenarios. AION UT comes standard with emergency lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring, reverse autonomous emergency braking and a system designed to help prevent incidents with doors involving cyclists. 

Post-crash testing included rescue information, eCall availability and vehicle operation following water submergence. Euro NCAP reported that the side windows could remain electrically operable for more than two minutes after submergence.
