KYOTO, Japan, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan (hereinafter “NTCJ”) announced on September 29 that it will begin providing samples of the KA85010UA, a 26-cell battery monitoring IC equipped with EIS functionality, in January 2027. 

The company’s proprietary inductor method reduces the PCB temperature rise during EIS measurements by approximately 93% compared with conventional methods, enabling battery degradation diagnosis, lifetime prediction, and early detection of signs of cell abnormalities. NTCJ also supports integration into applications by providing EIS analysis algorithms.

In addition to battery monitoring functions, this product integrates EIS-based impedance measurement into a single chip. EIS is a technique that superimposes an AC current on a battery and calculates impedance from the resulting voltage and current responses. This makes it possible to perform EIS measurements within the system, without the dedicated measurement equipment previously required, enabling continuous monitoring and diagnosis of internal battery conditions. 

By quantitatively assessing internal battery conditions that are difficult to determine from conventional voltage, current, and temperature measurements alone, EIS can estimate SOH and internal temperature, predict battery lifetime, and provide early detection of signs of cell abnormalities, contributing to improved battery safety in vehicles and energy storage systems.

This product uses the company’s proprietary inductor method instead of the conventional resistor method, significantly reducing energy loss. Company evaluations confirmed that both power loss and PCB temperature rise could be reduced by approximately 93% compared with the conventional resistor method (Figures 2 and 3). 

These low-power and low-heat characteristics facilitate implementation of EIS functionality in automotive batteries and energy storage systems. They also enable stable acquisition of EIS measurement data during operation, charging, and rest, contributing to advanced battery condition monitoring and diagnostics.

I militari hanno esteso la verifica alla merce esposta, controllando il rispetto della normativa su marchi e brevetti, del Codice del Consumo e delle regole europee sulla sicurezza dei giocattoli. Al banco sono stati sequestrati 57 prodotti privi di qualsiasi etichettatura, mancanti quindi delle indicazioni obbligatorie sulla sede legale del produttore o di un importatore stabilito nell’Unione Europea, delle avvertenze in italiano e della marcatura Ce, oltre a dieci giocattoli contraffatti. L’attenzione delle Fiamme Gialle si è concentrata su questi ultimi, con l’obiettivo di risalire alla filiera illecita e al luogo di approvvigionamento, individuato in provincia di Pisa.

Le attività successive, coordinate dall’autorità giudiziaria pisana, hanno portato al ritrovamento di 19868 prodotti tra carte collezionabili, gadget e giocattoli vari con personaggi tutelati dal diritto d’autore o marchi registrati, tra cui articoli Disney, Mattel e Dumbling Squishy, pupazzi Labubu e carte da gioco Pokémon, messi in vendita senza le necessarie autorizzazioni. Altri 921 prodotti erano commercializzati senza le indicazioni obbligatorie sul produttore o sull’importatore europeo e con avvertenze non in lingua italiana.

Il dato più delicato riguarda i giocattoli Squishy Fidget Fun!, nel modello Rainbow Mystery / one set sugar edition, nei formati regular e mini. Secondo la Guardia di Finanza risultano inseriti nel sistema di allerta rapido della Commissione europea Safety-Gate (Rapex), perché costituiscono un grave rischio per la salute e la sicurezza dei bambini, in quanto non conformi ai requisiti della direttiva 2009/48/CE sulla sicurezza dei giocattoli. Il pericolo, spiegano le Fiamme Gialle, è legato alla struttura stessa dei prodotti, che espone i più piccoli a rischi di natura meccanica e chimica, in particolare alla possibile migrazione di sostanze tossiche non autorizzate durante la manipolazione.

Il bilancio complessivo è di merce sequestrata per circa 25mila euro, due persone denunciate alle autorità giudiziarie di Pistoia e Pisa per introduzione nello Stato e commercio di prodotti con segni falsi, e verbali amministrativi con sanzioni da 1.500 a 10mila euro.

LONDON, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A growing AI skills divide is creating a diverging workforce, with the majority of workers at risk of being left behind as access to learning and development falls – even as AI use and the pace of workplace change accelerate. 

PwC’s 2026 Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey, which interviewed nearly 50,000 workers across 48 countries and regions, finds diverging optimism in the growth trajectories and experiences of employees – as workers face rapid change, rising workloads and greater cost-of-living pressures. 

Just 51% say they have access to the learning and development resources they need, down from 59% last year. 

The divide is particularly stark among the 56% of ‘engine room’ workers whose skills are less scarce and who are not far along the AI learning curve: only two in five of those workers say they have access to the learning and development resources they need. 

Meanwhile, workers who use AI daily are more confident in their job security, more likely to trust management and more confident about their ability to learn new skills.

AI adoption continues to rise but workers face growing pressures 

Workers are feeling significant pressure. Only a third report having money left at the end of the month, down 8% year on year. 

At the same time, almost a third (29%) say they have significantly less bargaining power than three years ago, more than double the number who disagreed. For fully remote workers, the proportion is 10 points higher. 

When considering the biggest risks to job security, more workers cite economic volatility (57%) than AI taking on more tasks (44%) – with Gen Z more anxious across all these metrics. 

Three-fifths (58%) of those who have experienced change in the workplace feel there has been more change in the last year than in previous years. Almost one-third (27%) say that feeling fatigued or burned out limits their productivity. 

The vast majority of workers say they have also had to apply new skills in their job over the past year, with two-fifths (40%) saying this was to a large or very large extent. 

Change is happening faster at leadership levels. More than half (51%) of senior executives and 46% of managers say they have applied new skills in their roles, relative to 29% of non-managers and 38% of entry-level workers. 

But as workers face mounting pressure – AI adoption continues to rise: nearly two-thirds (64%) of all workers cite using AI at work in the past 12 months – a ten-point increase relative to last year. The proportion using Gen AI daily also increased from 14% to 22%. Roughly three-fifths (59%) of workers expect their use of AI tools in their job to increase over the next 12 months. This group reports that the use of AI makes them feel energised and empowered rather than tired and powerless, by margins of around 5:1. 

Daily AI users in the workforce are also more optimistic: 68% report confidence in their job security compared to 57% for infrequent users. They are also more likely to ask for a promotion (+12 percentage points), trust top management (+15) and be confident they can learn new skills (+21). 

The new workforce divide 

While workers are broadly confident (61%) that they can develop skills growth – only half (51%) cite being able to access learning and development resources (down from 59%). To understand this further, the report segments the workforce into four groups: 

The report highlights the need for employers to pay particular attention to the ‘engine room’ group. This group is less likely to be rewarded for using AI, learning new skills or challenging existing ways of working – yet they are the majority of the workforce, responsible for most of the day-to-day work within an organisation. 

Meanwhile the ‘front-runners’ are seeing strong benefits from their position. They are most likely to over-index on being rewarded for challenging existing ways of working (1.5x global average) and learning new skills (1.2x global average). This group is also +33 points more likely to ask for a promotion. 

In a challenge to employers seeking to retain their most valuable workers, almost a third (29%) of this group say they are very or extremely likely to change employer in the next year.

From Apollo to Artemis 

The recognition of the Artemis II crew continues a remarkable connection between STARMUS and human space exploration that began with the very first festival 15 years ago. 

Over the years, nine Apollo astronauts have taken part in STARMUS, including Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 8 astronauts Bill Anders and Jim Lovell, alongside legendary cosmonaut Alexei Leonov. La circolazione sulla linea ferroviaria Firenze-Pisa subirà un blocco totale nel tratto compreso tra le stazioni di Empoli e Pisa per tre giorni, dal 9 all’11 ottobre. Lo stop è causato da un piano di manutenzione programmata gestito da Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, con cantieri che comporteranno modifiche alla viabilità anche nelle giornate dell’8 e del 12 ottobre.

I lavori si concentreranno sulle opere propedeutiche all’eliminazione del passaggio a livello di Putignano, nel territorio comunale pisano, a cui si aggiungono la manutenzione straordinaria del ponte metallico sul fiume Era e interventi sui deviatoi di Pontedera.

Queste operazioni avranno un impatto diretto sia sul trasporto regionale che sull’Alta Velocità. I treni gestiti da Trenitalia sulle direttrici Firenze-La Spezia, Firenze-Livorno-Grosseto e Firenze-Campiglia/Piombino andranno incontro a variazioni di orario, partenze anticipate e cancellazioni totali o parziali. Per tentare di arginare i disagi, l’offerta commerciale verrà integrata con convogli straordinari tra Firenze e Pisa fatti transitare via Prato, Pistoia e Lucca. Per quanto riguarda l’Alta Velocità, i treni Frecciarossa e Frecciargento della tratta Roma-Genova subiranno modifiche, con possibili deviazioni via Civitavecchia, la soppressione della fermata di Roma Tiburtina, partenze anticipate e un aumento generale dei tempi di percorrenza.

Il piano per limitare le ricadute sui passeggeri e l’organizzazione dei servizi sostitutivi sono stati esaminati durante un tavolo istituzionale. L’incontro ha riunito l’assessore regionale ai trasporti Filippo Boni, i sindaci dei comuni coinvolti, le associazioni dei pendolari, Rfi e Trenitalia, inserendosi in un più ampio percorso di monitoraggio voluto dalla Regione Toscana.

Boni ha inquadrato l’intervento tecnico come “un’interruzione improcrastinabile”, pur riconoscendone il forte impatto su una linea ritenuta strategica per lavoratori, studenti e per la connessione tra i principali aeroporti toscani. “Sarà nostra premura seguire con attenzione sia lo svolgimento dei lavori che l’attuazione dei servizi sostitutivi, ma siamo ben consapevoli che il collegamento ferroviario di Firenze e Pisa via Pistoia non sostituisce l’utilizzo della linea Firenze-Pisa”, ha precisato l’assessore.

Il servizio di autobus sostitutivi previsto per le stazioni tagliate fuori dalla viabilità su ferro non sarà in grado di coprire per intero l’effettiva domanda dei pendolari, vista l’impossibilità logistica di programmare un numero adeguato di mezzi stradali. Da qui l’appello diretto di Boni all’utenza: “Invito dunque i cittadini a prestare molta attenzione ed informarsi con cura, per scegliere soluzioni alternative per raggiungere la città di destinazione o stazioni da cui il servizio resta comunque garantito”. Pur a fronte delle evidenti criticità, l’esponente della Giunta ha ribadito la necessità di mantenere vivo il dialogo con le amministrazioni e i comitati per strutturare servizi il più possibile aderenti alle necessità del territorio.

David Rossi sarebbe stato aggredito in maniera violenta e rapida nel suo ufficio da più persone, almeno due e corpulente, e prima di precipitare dalla finestra era cosciente, quindi ha molto probabilmente cercato di difendersi.

L’ex capo della comunicazione MpS, trovato morto il 6 marzo 2013 precipitato dalla finestra del suo ufficio a Siena,  una volta finito fuori dalla finestra ha tentato di aggrapparsi al bordo.

Rossi era tenuto dagli aggressori forse in un tentativo di intimidazione, ma poi la presa è mancata e Rossi è precipitato.

È quanto emerge da una prima valutazione tecnica dopo le simulazioni a Roma, al Foro Italico, con l’ausilio dei Ris e dei vigili del fuoco, lunedì 28 settembre. Nell’ambito della perizia disposta dalla commissione parlamentare di inchiesta.

Commissione parlamentare d’inchiesta presieduta da Gianluca Vinci, vicepresidenti il deputato toscano Emiliano Fossi e Simonetta Matone.

“Si esclude la decisione e il movimento suicidario”, ha detto il medico Robbi Manghi, a cui sono state affidate le operazioni con il medico Marco Nigrisoli, insieme al tenente colonnello Adolfo Gregori del Ris di Roma e i vigili del fuoco.

Sul posto anche il presidente della commissione parlamentare, Gianluca Vinci.

“C’è stata un’aggressione violenta e difficilmente è stata una persona sola perché David Rossi era cosciente, era un giovane in forma” e una sola persona “difficilmente” sarebbe riuscita ad avere il sopravvento. Quindi gli aggressori erano “almeno due se non tre e soggetti corpulenti”, ha sottolineato Manghi.

È stata ricostruita una finestra nelle stesse dimensioni di quella della sede di Monte dei Paschi di Siena in Rocca Salimbeni a Siena e un atleta dei vigili del fuoco, della stessa corporatura di David Rossi, si è prestato per simulare i movimenti di reazione della vittima.

Sono state create tutte le ipotetiche simulazioni attraverso la dinamica della traumatologia forense: la caduta di Rossi è stata quindi ricostruita con un solo aggressore, con due o con tre, sia in condizioni di coscienza che di incoscienza della vittima.

Marco Nigrisoli, consulente tecnico nominato dalla commissione parlamentare di inchiesta: “La perizia conferma che gran parte delle lesioni di David Rossi sono state procurate da un meccanismo di aggressione che lui ha subito.

Al netto delle lesioni dell’impatto del corpo al suolo, altre sono incompatibili con la precipitazione. Ad esempio la frattura capitello radiale sinistro, emersa da una tac, è compatibile con meccanismo indiretto di leva esercitata da una terza persona che agisce sull’arto superiore sinistro. Dunque tutto è molto compatibile con un fatto aggressivo”.

Robbi Manghi, consulente tecnico nominato dalla commissione: “Quella sera non è successo nulla che Rossi si sia procurato da solo prima della precipitazione, evento procurato da terzi dopo un’aggressione: questo è un dato certo”.

Manghi ha spiegato che Rossi è stato afferrato “da persone con notevole forza delle mani”, lo dimostrano le ferite da “trascinamento e strisciamento”. Inoltre “tutte le lesioni addominali nella parte terza dell’addome sono state create da terzi, da un pugno o una ginocchiata o comunque un colpo assestato. Sono un “segno del forte trauma contusivo” anche le “lesioni a zigomi dovute a percosse”, così come le “le lesioni da trascinamento alla coscia”. Ci sono inoltre “tracce ematiche sulla camicia e macchie di unto tipiche dei pomelli alla base delle finestre, forse dovute ad azioni di trascinamento sulla parte inferiore dell’addome. Non mortali ma compatibili con l’aggressione”.
