ATSUGI, Japan, June 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (Sony) today announced the upcoming release of the LYTIA 610, a 1/2-type approximately 64-effective megapixel CMOS image sensor with the RB2×2 On Chip Lens (OCL) pixel structure. This is the industry’s first*1 product with this pixel structure to be mass produced. 

By combining the RB2×2 OCL pixel structure with dedicated array conversion processing (remosaicing) optimized for this structure, the new product achieves both improved resolution and excellent autofocusing (AF) performance at the same time. It offers more than 20% improvement in spatial resolution*2 compared to Sony’s conventional product with the same pixel size,*3 allowing telephoto cameras to capture subjects with fine detail. 

The improved readout speed also enables 4K 120 fps video recording for the first time on Sony’s 1/2-type sensor. This reduces the performance gap with the large sensors used on main cameras and suppresses variations in image quality across multi-lens camera systems, enabling a more uniform shooting experience.

Non-Saudi residents begin their application process by obtaining a digital identity card from Saudi missions abroad, which must be obtained prior to completing the online application process. Non-Saudi companies and entities without an existing presence in the Kingdom are required to register with the Ministry of Investment through the “Invest Saudi” platform and obtain national unified number before completing the ownership process electronically. 

The system allows non-Saudi individuals, companies, and entities to own property across various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while regulating ownership in Makkah and Madinah. Property ownership within the two Holy Cities is limited to Saudi companies and Muslim individuals from both within and outside the Kingdom. 

This is implemented through a clear regulatory framework that makes ownership decisions more transparent by linking real estate opportunities to structured pathways, and official data sources, thereby enhancing market credibility, supporting high-quality urban growth, and elevating the overall beneficiary experience. 

REGA emphasized that the “Saudi Properties” portal is the official channel for foreign real estate ownership applications, as well as accessing key information related to owning property in the Kingdom. Designed for whole-home energy management, the system supports seamless backup power without requiring additional gateways or backup boxes, and allows users to scale storage capacity over time through flexible battery expansion.

Halo 5 is a compact 5 kWh all-in-one system designed for households seeking higher capacity within a space-efficient footprint, while Halo PV enables direct PV-side integration for improved solar energy utilization.
