Among the highlights is Speed Legends, an extraordinary exhibition celebrating the history of MotoGP’s premier class. Developed through the EICMA.SHIFT UP partnership with MotoGP, the exhibition will feature over 30 historic racing motorcycles alongside the five MotoGP bikes competing in 2026, complemented by interactive experiences and a dedicated Gaming Arena.

La vendemmia del Consorzio Vino Chianti si è conclusa con risultati positivi sul fronte della qualità. Le precipitazioni registrate a metà settembre hanno permesso di riequilibrare i filari dopo le alte temperature dei mesi estivi, garantendo la raccolta di grappoli in condizioni ottimali. Un riscontro che riguarda in particolar modo il Sangiovese, giunto nei centri di vinificazione con parametri eccellenti.

Per quanto riguarda i volumi complessivi, la produzione rispetta le previsioni stagionali, allineandosi alla scelta preventiva del consiglio del Consorzio di ridurre le rese. Il presidente Giovanni Busi traccia un bilancio agricolo rassicurante: “Quella di quest’anno è una vendemmia di grande qualità. Le piogge arrivate a metà settembre sono state provvidenziali, perché hanno restituito equilibrio alle uve e ci hanno consentito di raccogliere grappoli in condizioni ottimali, senza particolari sofferenze legate al caldo”. Premesse che, secondo Busi, pongono basi solide “per ottenere vini di grande livello”.

A fare da contraltare agli ottimi risultati in vigna è tuttavia il quadro commerciale, segnato da una marcata instabilità. Le dinamiche geopolitiche internazionali e lo stato generale dell’economia stanno influenzando il settore, generando un clima di prudenza tra le aziende e i consumatori finali. Questa fluttuazione si traduce in una discontinuità degli ordinativi, che alternano fasi di stallo a improvvisi picchi di richieste, rendendo complessa la programmazione a lungo termine per le imprese vinicole.

La notizia è arrivata poco dopo: il sessantenne era stato portato d’urgenza nell’unità di emodinamica cardiologica, dove i medici lo stavano già sottoponendo ad angioplastica. Secondo quanto comunicato alla famiglia, grazie alla tempestività dei soccorsi l’esito dovrebbe essere positivo.

Le lacrime di commozione dei familiari hanno sciolto la tensione: hanno abbracciato e ringraziato più volte gli agenti per l’aiuto ricevuto.

Expansion strengthens local production and supply for North American customers 

WESTMINSTER, S.C., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CurTec USA is investing $10 million to expand its Westminster, South Carolina operations, creating 10 new jobs. The project will increase warehouse and production capacity and broaden the range manufactured in the United States. 

The expansion will add approximately 27,300 square feet and more than 2,000 pallet positions. Groundbreaking is planned for October 2026, with completion expected in Q2 2027.

Expanding local production 

A new blow molding line will significantly increase capacity and extend local production to smaller packaging sizes. CurTec plans to produce 6- and 10-liter Click Pack pails in Westminster before year-end, followed by smaller Wide Neck Drums in 2027.

Annual study commissioned by the Open Compute Project Foundation projects spending will reach $892 billion in 2030 as AI investment and adoption expand 

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Open Compute Project (OCP) Foundation today announced a sharp increase in IDC’s forecast for worldwide spending on OCP-recognized IT equipment. The 2026 IDC Market Impact Study projects annual spending of approximately $800 billion in 2029, up from the $295 billion forecast for the same year in last year’s study—an increase of approximately 2.7x . 

The new forecast reaches $892 billion in 2030, when OCP-recognized IT equipment is projected to account for approximately 51% of all spending across the infrastructure categories covered by the study. 

Commissioned annually by the OCP Foundation, the study assesses the market impact of OCP-recognized equipment. This year’s findings reflect both the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure investment and broader adoption of OCP designs.

AI Investment Drives GrowthIDC projects spending on OCP-recognized IT equipment will grow from approximately $154 billion in 2025 to $892 billion in 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of approximately 42%. 

Servers represent the largest spending category, with GPU-accelerated systems driving much of the growth. IDC also forecasts continued growth in switching equipment, rack infrastructure, power and cooling as organizations build the systems needed to support increasingly demanding workloads.
