Studies presented as part of “The 2026 International Congress of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS)” in Geneva, Switzerland, May 6-9, 2026

Presentations further support use of HOPE in U.S. and EU for making more organs available for transplantation, reducing registry list waiting times

DULUTH, Ga., May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bridge to Life™ Ltd., a global innovator in organ preservation solutions and perfusion technology, today announced new data from studies using Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion (HOPE) for the preservation of donor livers awaiting transplantation. The studies collectively demonstrate that HOPE with VitaSmart™ improves utilization of steatotic, older, and previously discarded donor livers, while preserving mitochondrial function and supporting flavin mononucleotide (FMN) as a direct biomarker of graft viability. Together, these findings strengthen the clinical and economic case for broader adoption of HOPE across transplant centers in the U.S. and Europe.

“FDA clearance of VitaSmart™ established Bridge to Life as the first company to bring HOPE to the U.S. market as a cleared platform for liver transplantation. These new ILTS data reinforce that HOPE is not simply a preservation strategy—it is a tool for organ recovery, viability assessment, and better transplant decision-making,” said Don Webber, president and CEO of Bridge to Life Ltd. “By extending the use of marginal donor organs and preserving mitochondrial integrity, we are helping transplant teams move from preservation toward precision transplantation.”

CGTN: Why is the world watching the upcoming China-US summit?

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

CGTN published an article examining why the world is closely watching the upcoming China-US summit. Against a backdrop of prolonged geopolitical tensions and fragile global recovery, the article highlights how head-of-state diplomacy serves as the “anchor” of China-US relations. It also explores how the summit could inject greater certainty into an increasingly volatile world.

BEIJING, May 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump will pay a state visit to China from May 13 to 15, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.

At a time of prolonged geopolitical tensions and fragile global recovery, the world is closely watching whether the two leaders can further stabilize China-US relations and inject much-needed certainty into the international landscape.

Keeping China-US relations on the right course

For many observers, the summit reflects one core hope: stability in bilateral ties.

Interviews conducted by CGTN show a common view among experts that head-of-state diplomacy has long served as the “anchor” of that stability.

As Wu Xinbo, dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University, put it, such head-of-state diplomacy “sets the tone and defines the direction” of bilateral ties.

Christopher Newport University’s Associate Professor Sun Taiyi similarly noted that direct leader-to-leader communication helps reduce uncertainty, prevent miscalculation and signal that stability remains the overriding priority.

Over the past year, the two leaders have maintained communication through phone calls and a face-to-face meeting in Busan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), helping prevent major miscalculations and keeping the overall relationship stable.

As Xi told Trump in Busan, “In the face of winds, waves and challenges, we should stay the right course, navigate through the complex landscape, and ensure the steady sailing forward of the giant ship of China-US relations.”

That metaphor of “steering the ship” has been reflected in concrete progress.

Since 2025, under the strategic consensus reached by the two heads of state, economic teams from both sides have held multiple rounds of talks, while large-scale tariff escalation has been paused. A new round of consultations is set to take place in the ROK from May 12 to 13, just ahead of the Beijing summit.

People-to-people exchanges have also regained momentum. In April, Beijing hosted events marking the 55th anniversary of China-US “Ping-Pong Diplomacy,” with hundreds of young Chinese and Americans taking part in sports and cultural exchanges. More US youth groups have also traveled to China for exchange and study programs.

Bringing certainty to a changing world

As the world’s two largest economies, and with China-US relations standing as one of the most important bilateral ties globally, outcomes of head-of-state diplomacy between the two countries not only help stabilize bilateral relations, but also have a broader impact on global development and governance.

As Peterson Institute Senior Fellow Chad Bown noted, “virtually everyone has a stake in the outcome.” Cornell University economist Eswar Prasad went further, suggesting the meeting could carry implications for global trade, geopolitics and even the “rules-based order.”

CGTN interviews with experts highlight the similar points.

Zhang Tengjun, associate research fellow at the China Institute of International Studies, said deeper cooperation could inject momentum into global recovery and stabilize industrial and supply chains, stressing that the trajectory of bilateral ties is closely tied to the world’s future.

On this point, scholar Sun said that stable relations reduce risks of supply chain disruption, financial volatility and geopolitical fragmentation.

Dean Wu noted that as the world’s two major technological powers, China and the United States have the capacity to generate “win-win outcomes” through practical cooperation, supporting broader global growth and scientific progress.

Likewise, Cui Fan, vice dean of the University of International Business and Economics, emphasized that both countries share responsibility for the stability of global governance.

Xi underlined this responsibility in Busan as well: “The world today is confronted with many tough problems. China and the United States can jointly shoulder our responsibility as major countries, and work together to accomplish more great and concrete things for the good of our two countries and the whole world.”

This year provides a window for that responsibility to be tested, with China hosting APEC and the United States hosting the G20 Leaders’ Summit – two platforms that could open space for coordination on global recovery, food and energy security, debt risks, and governance reform.

In a February phone call with Trump, Xi set out a pragmatic path forward: “If the two sides work in the same direction in the spirit of equality, respect and mutual benefit, we can surely find ways to address each other’s concerns.”

The world will watch the upcoming summit to see how Beijing and Washington can translate into action Xi’s call to “make progress step by step to build mutual trust, find the right way to get along, and make 2026 a year where the two major countries advance toward mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation.”

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

KATOWICE, Poland, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — At the 2026 European Economic Congress (EEC 2026), MICROIP Chairman Dr. James Yang participated in a high-level dialogue at the “Poland-Taiwan Economic Cooperation Forum.” Joined by Ambassador Liu Yong-jian and HCG Vice Chairman Michael Chiu, Dr. Yang advocated leveraging Taiwan’s semiconductor prowess to propel Poland into a strategic hub for European Edge AI.

Addressing the “Last Mile” of AI deployment, Dr. Yang noted that global adoption is hindered by fragmented end-user demands and the high cost of general-purpose chips. “MICROIP advocates a ‘Software-Driven Hardware’ approach,” Yang stated, emphasizing translating domain expertise into silicon reality. By utilizing mainstream chip platforms alongside MICROIP’s low-power Customized ASIC Design Services (CATS) and AIVO No-Code platform, engineers can transform specific industry knowledge into specialized applications with minimal barriers. This model has already demonstrated commercial success in autonomous UAV navigation—tracking objects without internet access—and in smart cities, where on-device processing protects privacy while saving critical bandwidth.

The forum highlighted the synergy between Poland’s “Soft Intelligence” and Taiwan’s “Hard Foundations”. Michael Chiu of HCG identified Poland as a core innovation partner for Taiwan’s security industry. Dr. Yang noted that combining Europe’s software talent with Taiwan’s hardware creates a “resilient supply chain,” establishing Poland as an “AI Hardware-Software Innovation Hub”. Furthermore, MICROIP collaborates with its sister company, Arculus EDA UK, to provide professional EDA services. This strategic partnership significantly reduces the ASIC R&D-to-mass-production cycle, allowing MICROIP to co-define global AIoT standards while providing European clients with the most cost-effective solutions to meet localized market needs.

“Talent is the ultimate currency of the AI industry; we invest where the talent is,” Yang concluded. Success will be measured by a deep symbiosis of technology and talent, moving beyond simple trade to a thriving industrial ecosystem. This strategic alignment positions MICROIP to bridge technical value with international capital markets, opening a new chapter for the global ASIC and AI software design service industry.

A Small Zipper, A Big Power: NOTAPE™ Reinvents the Zipper to Drive Breakthrough Innovation in Apparel

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

RIVA DEL GARDA, Italy, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Held in Italy from May 17 to 19, 2026, the EOW Outdoor Trade Show will showcase NOTAPE™’s revolutionary tapeless and seamless zipper. Shattering the zipper industry’s century-old incremental innovation paradigm, NOTAPE™ resolves the core structural defects of traditional zippers with systemic breakthroughs in structure, design, manufacturing, performance and business models, setting a new industry benchmark for technological innovation and eco-design in the apparel and outdoor sectors.

Architecture: From Assembly to Integration

Traditional zipper innovation has always been about addition: smoother sliders, tougher teeth, eco‑friendlier tape yarns. But the underlying structure never changed – teeth must rely on a separate fabric tape to attach to the garment. This “assembly thinking” keeps the zipper as an attached part, never part of the garment itself. NOTAPE™ removes the independent tape and directly integrates teeth onto the fabric. The zipper becomes a natural extension of the fabric, opening new possibilities for design, manufacturing, and sustainability.

Design: Reinventing the Zipper’s Skeleton

Conventional zippers follow a “teeth + tape” logic，NOTAPE™ reinvents the skeleton. If traditional zippers “hang” on tape, NOTAPE™’s zipper “grows” on the fabric. The teeth are self‑supporting, forming directly on the fabric through a one‑piece integrated construction. The zipper is no longer an add‑on but a functional zone that emerges from the fabric – visually invisible, structurally fused.

Manufacturing: From Sewing Age to Forming Age

Traditional production involves multiple steps across different factories, with accumulated errors and coordination costs. Dyeing consumes energy and water; sewing depends on skilled labor and risks rework. NOTAPE™ simplifies the process into one‑step integrated forming: fabric enters the equipment, and teeth are formed directly onto it. Tape weaving, dyeing, transportation, and sewing are eliminated. NOTAPE™ does not just sell zippers; it helps factories “delete steps”.

Performance: Delivering the “Impossible Combination”

Traditional zipper design faces trade‑offs: smooth operation requires larger teeth, which become heavier and more visible; invisibility requires smaller teeth and narrower tape, but durability suffers; eco‑materials often compromise strength. NOTAPE™ breaks these physical constraints. With its tapeless structure and self‑supporting teeth, it achieves thinness, strength, invisibility, and durability simultaneously. Its bonding strength equals or exceeds stitched fastenings, eliminating the risk of small teeth detaching. Through precise tooth-to-fabric integration, NOTAPE™ creates a physical anti-leak barrier without the need for any film or coating.

Business Model: From Selling Inventory to Selling Technology

Traditional zipper companies follow a “make inventory – sell by length – price per meter” model, leading to commoditization and price wars. Brands gain little differentiation, and zipper suppliers struggle to build deep partnerships. NOTAPE™ transforms its business model from selling products to selling solutions – moving from supplier to technology partner. Through technology licensing, joint R&D, and equipment leasing, it builds shared technical moats with manufacturers and brands. What customers receive is not a zipper, but a technology solution tailored to their products. As we often say: NOTAPE™ is not just selling zippers; it is reinventing garments together with its clients.

The value of NOTAPE™’s tapeless and seamless zipper lies not in any single parameter improvement, but in a fundamental restructuring of a century‑old system – a true reinvention. It redefines the zipper’s form, manufacturing, and value, setting a new benchmark for eco‑design and technological innovation in the apparel industry.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Architettura: dall’assemblaggio all’integrazione

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

LONDON and AUSTIN, Texas, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The King’s Foundation and FormationQ today announced a new partnership to showcase how towns and cities across the Commonwealth can grow sustainably using quantum technology.

The partnership, entitled Harmonious Urban Growth: A Health-Optimised Expansion Framework Using Quantum Methods, is a three-year programme designed to help cities grow sustainably while improving the health of people and the planet. The initiative will incorporate advanced computational modelling, including quantum optimisation enabled by trapped-ion systems from IonQ, to explore new methods for planning complex urban systems and sustainable town planning.

Today, around 1.3 billion people live in unplanned settlements, and that number is expected to grow by well over one billion more in the next 30 years. When urban expansion occurs without planning frameworks, infrastructure and public services can struggle to keep up with population growth, creating long-term challenges for mobility, public health, and environmental resilience. Early planning helps cities become more livable, walkable and sustainable. In many of the places growing most rapidly, professional planning resources are limited, yet the need to organise urban expansion has never been greater.

The Harmonious Urban Growth programme builds on The King’s Foundation’s Rapid Planning Toolkit, a practical methodology developed with Commonwealth partners following the Declaration on Sustainable Urbanisation (
CHOGM 2022
). The Toolkit enables mayors, planning authorities and built-environment professionals to establish clear frameworks guiding responsible expansion before informal settlement patterns become difficult to reverse.

The Toolkit was piloted in Bo, Sierra Leone, where it helped local authorities and community stakeholders avoid development in flood-prone wetlands while identifying walkable areas and infrastructure corridors for future expansion.

The three-year programme will be supported by UK urban planning consultants Space Syntax, who will bring their knowledge on cities, mapping, and data to the initiative. Working alongside The King’s Foundation and FormationQ, they will apply digital modelling techniques to the toolkit process, harnessing the power of IonQ’s quantum technologies to develop new platforms that can support our understanding of the complexity of cities.

Ben Bolgar, Executive Director for Projects at The King’s Foundation, said:

“We are excited to partner with FormationQ to explore how our Rapid Planning Toolkit can help communities grow sustainably across the world. We hope that the work of the Projects Team at The King’s Foundation will impact more communities positively as a result.”

Through the partnership, FormationQ will contribute advanced computational and optimisation capabilities, leveraging the IonQ quantum platform, to allow planners to explore large numbers of potential spatial configurations across interconnected systems including water networks, ecological corridors, transportation infrastructure, neighbourhood centres and block structures.

Urban planning across these layers involves complex combinatorial decisions. Advanced optimisation techniques, including quantum approaches, can help analyse these interactions more efficiently and generate alternative spatial frameworks that balance walkability, environmental resilience, infrastructure efficiency and economic accessibility.

Nada Hosking, Founder and CEO of FormationQ, said:

“Rapid urbanisation is one of the most complex systems challenges of the 21st century. Cities must balance environmental resilience, infrastructure capacity, economic opportunity and human wellbeing simultaneously. Advances in computational modelling, including quantum optimisation techniques, offer new ways to explore these complex interactions and support better planning decisions.”

The computational modelling informs a participatory planning process in which planners, local authorities and community representatives review spatial options and shape a preferred framework. Proposed plans can then be tested directly on site, with streets, squares and public spaces physically marked on the ground and digitally mapped to guide early development.

By combining quantum computing, participatory planning and field testing, the Harmonious Urban Growth programme aims to create a scalable framework for guiding sustainable city expansion in rapidly urbanising regions. The collaboration between The King’s Foundation and FormationQ reflects a shared commitment to supporting resilient communities and responsible stewardship of the built environment.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

SOPRONKÖVESD, Hungary, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — JDEnergy has supported the successful grid connection of MVM 11 MW/22 MWh utility-scale energy storage project in Hungary. The system passed all required performance tests on its first attempt. Csaba Lantos, Hungary’s Minister of Energy, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and commended the project as an important achievement in China–Hungary energy cooperation.

Hungary’s central European location and expanding renewable energy capacity are increasing the need for flexible energy storage. As wind and solar penetration continues to rise, energy storage is becoming increasingly important for improving renewable energy utilization and supporting grid flexibility. The project was required to meet strict standards for safety, stability, and system compatibility, in line with Hungarian grid requirements and the operational conditions of the European market.

JDEnergy applied rigorous delivery standards throughout the project, covering installation, commissioning, grid connection, and testing. The first eBlock-418A energy storage cabinet was installed on 16th January, and all 53 units were successfully energized on 1st April. On-site commissioning was completed in just two days. During grid-connection testing, the system recorded zero major failures, zero extended downtime, and full compliance across key parameters, passing all required tests on the first attempt and receiving on-site certification from TÜV Rheinland. It also successfully completed MAVIR’s aFRR (automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve) accreditation test on 23rd April.

Designed to support a local wind farm, the project is expected to improve wind power utilization and contribute to Hungary’s energy transition. It also marks an important step in JDEnergy’s international deployment of self-developed energy storage solutions, demonstrating its ability to deliver utility-scale energy storage projects in overseas markets under demanding technical and operational requirements.

Looking ahead, JDEnergy will continue to deliver reliable and intelligent energy storage solutions to support stable, low-carbon power systems across global markets.

NOTE: Spettatori: 2718. Usciti per cinque falli: Dellosto (25’23”), Nikolic (26’30”), Smith (39’59”). Fallo tecnico: Brooks (7’03”), Anderson (25’36”), Smith (39’59”). Fallo antisportivo: nessuno.
